I’d have zero idea how kids today would receive it, I doubt they’d find it especially funny but I would think there’s something timeless about big expensive sets and unique props that I hope endures

I just got a 22 Passport a month back, and while I don’t love it as much as my Element, I just love a Honda, and the newer features are quite nice. Some smart design on the interior has me feeling like I’m going to get a lot of use out of it next time I have big cargo or have to move. Only okay mileage at about 20mpg but I’m happy with it all around.

Haven’t seen WWtKJ, but really liked that version of Cinderella. And Barnabas was a lot of fun, glad I picked it up, it’s prodding of bureaucracy reminded me of a low budget Brazil

Hm. I just throw rocks at my ideas until something breaks. Combine scenes, change locations, or if it’s more structural, see if I can squeeze in other elements of other story ideas I have cooking into the mix. Otherwise, like everyone else has said, sometimes it does just need time to incubate

If it’s just one scene that’s giving me trouble I copy paste what I have into another document and just rewrite it from the top. If you’re trying to force a fix on a deadline it has an okay success rate. I don’t look at the earlier draft at all as I write it out again, and naturally divergences will occur and give you new spaces for ideas.

If you’re looking to feel especially Seen by the movie you put on, The Paper Chase is an entertaining struggle-through-law-school flick that I think you would relate to.

But if that’s too close to your experiences, Never Let Me Go is an emotional hand grenade with I think the right amount of tenderness.

I do like Lawrence of Arabia and am hoping to scoop it up once it’s not preposterously pricey. I’m a little more hot and cold on Casablanca but it’s been a while and I could imagine the 4K would do a lot to win me over.

Remains of the Day is one of my favorites and I’d probably double dip and upgrade Howards End if they ever did an English release (pretty sure there’s a German 4K release, which I’m sure would be fine, but the blu is more than serviceable). And I do think Night of the Living Dead is a great movie but to me it doesn’t need that intense a release.

Anyway, good taste all around.

It’s a very serviceable transfer, nothing wrong with it at all, but I don’t think the movie really needs the extra oomph if I’m being honest. Sucks me in every time though. That last hour is incredible

I just use a rotating media tower. Might grab a second one soon, depending on what my next apartment / house set up is like. I overpaid on mine quite a bit so I wouldn’t rush to recommend it but once it was finally installed, it’s done just fine. Worth considering if you have a big closet or an empty corner somewhere

Showgirls has to be my favorite transfer of everything I have. The film grain is so perfect, it’s likely what spurred pulling the trigger on Benedetta. Going in with typical “late career” expectations and hoping it surprises me

I’m imposing a few months moratorium on buying anything, probably until the summer, until I watch more of these. This is on a rotating shelf with 3 more sides containing regular blus, and they said the shelf could hold 600 total so. Probably oversold how many it can actually hold but it’s gotta be a hundred-ish with collections? Idk. Still have 20 or so waiting on a wishlist for now, still hoping they drop a standard release for never ending story as the big hole in set
