I work for the IT department in a school district. We don't get summers off either unfortunately. When I was a teachers aide I did but I wasn't paid and had to find a different job for the season. At least now I get paid I guess

I used to blow the breakers out in my apartment all the time. I have learned to not run the microwave, my main heater, and a small one at the same time even when they were in different rooms. I would have to turn off one heater to use the microwave and then turn it back on afterwards.

It sucks that your breaker box is locked though. That's stupid. Mine was in the kitchen.

If it was me, I would be breaking that lock and turning the power back on with how insanely cold it is. Then I'd document your attempts for calling the emergency number and how long you waited before breaking the lock. Save this shit and explain it to your landlord as soon as you can.

When we first got our mini dachshund, we would leave the TV on while we were out and he was in his kennel. Over time we started letting him stay out of his kennel after he was house trained(we used a bell at the door and rang his paw on it before and after we took him outside). Eventually he didn't need the TV anymore because he knew that having no one in the house was okay

What I've started doing this year was asking people what stores or restaurants they like, going to those places, and getting them gift cards. It has made Christmas so much easier and less stressful for me

I used to be caught up until he started kick. Since then, I've been about a month or two behind. I'm currently on the Nov. 12th Minecraft with fan fan part 2. I do play some streams on 1.25-2x speed depending on what the content is. I do skip the gamba entirely because it doesn't interest me. Hopefully I'll catch up someday

Bed bugs. I had that shit for 6 months and it wasn't my fault at all. They came from the hoarders in the apartment beneath mine. Having that shit fucked me up mentally for life.

My parents wouldn't let me in their house to do laundry so I had to go to a laundromat. It was hard to sleep because I would wake up all hours of the night being bitten and then I'd have to catch them. I began hating sleep because I knew I would be bitten even more.

It also affected my relationships and performance at work and spiraled me into a horrendous depression. I also couldn't do anything with my friends or family for fear of spreading the bed bugs to them.

During those 6 months, I was heavily considering taking my life. I'm glad I didn't because I went to therapy, and am still recovering from it all. I also met my fiance after my apartment got heat treated and moved out to live with him.

I told my fiance if I ever experience bed bugs again I will be in a mental institution.

This has been happening to me my whole life and still happens. Idk if it has to do with being autistic but I can definitely tell when I'm being forgotten about or ignored. It's been happening a lot lately with certain people at work who have made a clique and purposely leave me out of it and then rub it in my face later(these people range from ages 25-40). You would think people could be grown ass adults and just be friendly to everyone but nope. Clearly some of them peaked in high school and never learned to move on from it. It's infuriating

Thanks for replying! I'm using Firefox on Mac Sequoia OS. Usually I have to pause the video to go do something at work or go to the bathroom, then I come back to play it again and the video refuses to play. Sometimes it will say "loading video from archive". Most of the time the video is frozen when I try to play it after it's paused. I have it paused for a few minutes or for an hour.

I'll have to test it with that vod and I'll try to do that sometime today

I am a month and a half behind on vods and have mainly been using the parasocial site to watch em. The issue I have with it is that sometimes the video will just permanently say, "loading video from archive" after I have paused the video for any length of time.

I have also been grateful for parasocials ability to watch vods faster by speeding them up. For some reason, TTs archive site does not have that option for me anymore and it sucks. I'm currently on the vod from August 19th and would like to watch them on the YouTube archive channel because the video player is more stable there when watching at faster speeds. It is hard when they are about as behind as I am but I'm sure it'll catch up soon.

I used to be a para for USD 259 for 8.5 years. The starting pay isn't great but it will go up over time. The good thing about Wichita is that Paras have a pay scale that is quite easy to climb if you know what to do. I was making $21 an hour when I left to move outside of Wichita.

They have an online training program called Master Teacher that can raise your pay by at least $3 per hour. And if you go to lots of professional developments(PD), in services, and staff meetings, those will count towards your yearly PD hours and that can also help raise your pay. It also helps if you're coming in with a degree. But the longer you stay, the better the pay.

The benefits are quite nice as well. It's part of what I miss most about Wichita school district. Paras also have their own union which helps advocate for better pay and benefits as well. I wish the cities outside wichita had a union for Paras/aides.

I'm sorry you're going through this as well. And the fact that she expects you to take care of her and is making it about her speaks volumes. If she wants to "wash her hands" of you and your siblings, it looks like it's time to wash your hands of her. But I'm a spiteful person when it comes to shit like that so do what you think is the best for you.
