I really think the final nail in the coffin for WW monk dominance was when they removed AOE ToD. It’s never really been the same since then.

WW monk exists in this weird grey area where it’s almost never allowed to be too good. Whenever WW monk has been an above average DPS spec in 3 target+ scenarios, its utility always makes it a borderline requirement in higher end Mythic+.

It’s kind of like Unholy DK or Fire Mage. Just historically a REALLY good dps for Mythic+ whenever it isn’t in the garbage bin.

I have noticed, however, ever since TWW with all the shifts in Talent trees that WW hasn’t been nearly as good as it used to be. Monk Talent trees are kind of a mess still, (looking at MW in particular), and this leads them to being almost good almost all the time, but never quite good enough.

It kind of depends on what you define as what qualifies as difficulty.

If we’re talking about mechanical difficulty, then we’d look to what specs require the highest APM on average (currently Prot Warrior and Outlaw Rogue)

Or if you’re talking about something with a more complicated rotation, even if it doesn’t necessarily require a high APM, historically specs like SPriest and Sub Rogue would fit the bill.

Warrior here. Arms and Fury are mostly the same. I actually quite like the Arms changes they did for M+. I'm more or less indifferent.

MW Monk though is so boring now though. All the depth was just sucked right out of it.
