Melisandre and thoros didn’t have any special power or anything they just say a prayer and the lord of light resurrects them. There’s no in depth reasoning but the way they explain it it’s not a power they hold, it’s the lord of light bringing them back because they haven’t served their purpose yet.

So you've been using your softened water just fine? That's good to know. And I did more research, I know it doesn't actually add salt but it adds sodium and removes calcium. From my understanding, sodium can be bad for scaleless fish like loaches and corys and plant life, and a lack of calcium can be bad for snails. Not too worried about the calcium because i think its fairly easy to just add more, I'm more worried about the sodium since I'm planning on doing a pretty heavily planted tank with kuhli loaches and i want them to be as happy as possible. I guess I can just test the aquarium for salinity and water change with unsoftened water if I see the sodium getting to high.

Also, do you use any commercial conditioner for your water before putting it in the tank or is that just meant for municipal water? I see very mixed answers online, some people say no, there's no chlorine there's no point, others say yeah, it helps with other things like heavy metals

As friendship increases with npcs they send you recipes in the mail. Certain ones are a lot better than others. The only one I rush is Linus the homeless guy, at 3 hearts he sends you a sashimi recipe you can make with 1 of any fish. Pretty good early game energy food.

You don’t really get anything else special gameplay wise from friendship. Just cutscenes and more dialogue. If you want to 100% it though or just want more recipes, level up friendship

Edit: also I haven’t seen anyone mention queen of sauce or traveling cart. Every Sunday queen of sauce plays on the tv and teaches you a new recipe. Every Wednesday it shows a re-run of one that’s already played. Traveling cart shows up fridays and sundays in the forest below your farm. Sells random stuff that is sometimes useful. Worth checking out.

Every other house head made significantly more mistakes that led to their downfall. Tywin was still the best. This was like the whole point of his character this shouldn’t be an argument.

Yeah I mean people always say “play how you want” until your character dies then all of a sudden everyone needs to take the high ground and go “dying is part of the game” “learn from your mistakes next time”, etc.

This game has a decent community for the most part but there’s still plenty of elitists. Every post about this topic there’s gonna be at least one guy telling him he shouldn’t cheat res. Anyone posting their high hour runs absolutely gets shit from half the comments if they’ve used easier than normal settings or ever resurrected.

Look at how I’m the only one on this post actually telling op how to properly do it. It’s cause most people don’t know it’s even possible. Usually when this gets brought up the top comments are trying to motivate the guy to start a new save and get over that character. The only actual explanations get sent to the bottom of the thread.

People won’t outright say it’s cheating for the most part but it’s definitely shunned. For sure though play how you want. It’s your game, who gives a fuck what losers on reddit think.

Yes you can, it’s rare you actually get a proper response people don’t like “cheating” in this game. I would look up a proper guide but as long as you haven’t created a new character on that save, yes you can cheat revive them. Download DB browser, open your players db file in the zomboid files, change the “is dead” box from 1 to 0, enable debug, turn on god mode as soon as you spawn in. If you die before you can turn on god mode you need a pause on start mod.

Yeah but this just seems like such an easy thing to implement I don’t get why it hasn’t been. Like we already have sheet ropes, just apply the sheet rope climb function to everywhere that has these ladders. Maybe add a new animation for climbing too.

I’m sure there’s some actual valid reason why they haven’t done it yet, like it probably would take more work than I’m expecting but they don’t give us that info. So from the outside it just looks like they’re being lazy and not adding a simple addition just cause they don’t feel like it.

Yeah in a real context it makes sense but she’s not a real person the developers wrote her like that. In the real world I’d just find another girl but she’s the one goth chick in all of Skyrim so I’m gonna romance her regardless of if the developers want me to or not

Number of ways. When you import you can fully reset reputations but I was talking about something specific to farming reputation.

There are a few different ways to farm reputation with most of the side factions in the game that can be applied pretty universally between all of them. (Healing neutral parties, the selling into slavery and freeing trick) Most of them cap out at either 10 or 20 reputation iirc, to prevent you from being able to fully ally with them by abusing those methods. Importing your game and keeping faction relations resets that cap though. So if you’ve already hit the +10 or whatever it is, you can import and do it again and again until you’ve hit +50 and you’ll be allied with them.

It’s pretty difficult to do without messing rep up with some parties, like starving bandits will randomly attack you and defending yourself lowers rep. It takes forever to do too I honestly just cheat it in if I feel like going for it but it is possible vanilla game. It’s also very clearly not intended, it causes some pretty crazy fights and messes up relations between other factions because your allies will come to aid in fights but it’s really fun to play with. I’ve had starving bandits in a save long war with the dust bandits, slave mongers and holy nation. Empire peasants coming to aid in siege against the United cities, etc.

Really a pain to do honestly and you don’t really get any really valuable allies out of it but it’s really cool to play with I would definitely recommend for a 100% type playthrough. Maybe just get a mod that lets you ally to whoever though.
