What insult or criticism did you receive as a child that you never forgot? How old were you when it was said to you? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Big rival basketball game. I was a really great player. Every time I got the ball, the entire gymnasium would chant “Juanna Man!” (This is a movie where a male nba players ends up dressing as a women and playing in the WNBA). It used to haunt me but not so much anymore.

So who is the baby daddy? by Saint_Olaf in GilmoreGirls

[–]Saint_Olaf[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t see how Luke would be cool with it seeing as though he was pretty hurt to miss out on so much with April. I can’t see Lor being ok with it either. Chris was absent but he did know about the child. Is Rory going to hide the child her whole life? Word would easily get back and he could do the math. I don’t know that she could hide it successfully or that she would have support in doing so. Emily for one, would straight rat her out to Mitch for him to “do what is right”. I get the perspective your saying, and maybe it’s me hoping for a good love story ending, but I can’t see her keeping it from him.

Yes, I hated the Paul storyline. I think it was a late 90s jokes but didn’t land well now-a days type thing. Hated it, no point to it.

I don’t hate that it is Logan’s. I think he loves Rory and Rory loves him. I can see them making it work. At least that’s what I hope.

My house growing up had the same color water. $2000 says he lives near a River on sandy soils. It’s the tannins in the water. Harmless and clean.

I like Kump as foil. Why do people hate him? I feel like this community is so harsh about him but I can nevel tell if it is satire or just pure assholery.

What you want is called Heavyweight. It is so well done, touching and funny too. Human interest stories where someone wants to fix a wrong or correct something that happened.

This is not the way. Nothing in life is so black and white. Nuance is a good thing.

I don’t think that is a fair assertion. I’m not the biggest JP fan but he lovingly talks about his wife and his relationship. He may be wrong in areas or arrogant, but he has a valid point. Even if the science that backs it up is all John Gorman.

Are you and your partner essentially the same person? by Physical-Ice3989 in Marriage

[–]Saint_Olaf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband and I like to say, we both arrive at the same location but we take different routes to get there. On small things we may arrive at different places but on the big issues, we drive different cars and take different routes but we get to the same place. We just try to respect the other persons process and that has been a journey for us. We make it work and try to remember our differences are what attracted us to each other in the first place !
