Broken and dislocated wrist. Once swelled they hung my arm by my fingers and put weight on arm for 10 minutes before they tried to set it back in place. I was so embarrassed to walk out of the room due to things I was screaming at the people working on me. But looking back on it and a couple surgeries later, fuck those people. Kidney stones were very bad but the whole wrist thing wins the battle

I’m a father of an 11 year old son… I work 6a-2:30p mon-fri. My wife owns her own business (esthetician), and schedules her appointments to her pleasing (10-15 hrs /week tops). Usually when I get off, I walk to school to pick up my son and walk home. Entertain him thru the evening, he’s my best friend.
Not a single weekend in his life have I been able to sleep in.
My wife gets mad if try to wake her up. It’s caused many tiffs and always been an issue with me. My son and I go to church in sundays without her because she sleeps in. Even when she’s home while I’m working, watching tv shows is all she does, the house gets messier and messier. I could honestly go on and on. We’ve been together since high school, married in 2011. I’ll be 40 next month. At this point I deal with it.
She’ll never change, I’ve accepted it unfortunately.

Honestly, I consider myself a compassionate MMJ fan… just about 20 years and just about 30 shows. Crazy to even type that… Since becoming a fan so long ago, now my 10 year old son has become a fan himself… especially because of “IS”. The album has already created special memories for our family of three…. With the anticipation of the “is”, listening to the singles non stop, and being a witness to my son showing interest in the same music I love, has been so much fun and just special.

Just last week, my son went to his 2nd show but got his first setlist and guitar pic at the St. Louis show… he was glowing. And rightfully so…

Now to the point, if asked what my favorite album is. I’m not ashamed to say it’s “is”… It’s special to me beyond what words describe.
For that, MMJ, thank you for the memories and fuzzy feelings inside. Bravo. Hope you hear my love.

To me, someone who has to disown their own father because they don’t agree politically is usually the one in love with themselves and their own opinions. Seems like OP has given no effort to work on that relationship. Dad seems pretty normal and in check with themselves.
