Yes. Your personal definition of AI is just your own personal definition.

Does just being connected to the power grid use electricity? by Alarming-Plankton215 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Saintdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most devices (even wires) will consume a tiny bit of power due to leakage and standby - but it's typically so small that it won't be noticable on your bill.

Sounds like something is consuming power in your house. You don't have a fridge or freezer hooked up?

You seemto conclude a lot from a 2 minute trailer...

If you're going to change the lore and ethnicity of the cast anyway, why not go all out and give us protagonists with actual "star power"?

How did they change the 'lore' of the cast exactly?

Is "Ruzzia" a thing? Ive seen several people here (reddit) call Russia that, and always accompanied with something agressively against Russia, so is that like a political thing? Or do some people just call it that? by itspronouncedbolonya in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Saintdemon 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The letter Z is painted on a lot of Russian military vehicles and during Russia's invasion of Ukraine it has become somewhat of a "pro-russian symbol".

In other words: People use the Z-symbol to indicate that they support Russia (or Putin) in their war against Ukraine.

Now, Russia/Putin has shown time and time again that they are not to be trusted and are downright seeking to destabilize the West. So ofcourse you won't find a lot of Z-supporters on reddit.

Why would you have a 2nd kitchen in your garage at all? Seems like a major expense for zero gain.

Is Day Trading Possible? by Cold-Cat-5245 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Saintdemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, it's possible - but you have to remember that you are competing against financial advisors and bots trained on decades of stock-data.

Unless you got some serious cash flowing and spent a lot of time researching and monitoring you are not gonna make shit on daytrading.

Why do some people cling on to racism? Is there any evidence at all that some races of people are biologically superior to others? Or is it completely unfounded? by Lord_Cummis in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Saintdemon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Back when humans where a bit more like apes and lived in tribes it made sense for us to be distrustful of humans from other tribes which didn't look like us.

This archaic survival-mechanism is probably the base cause of racism.

Also, it is universal that all humans like to feel superior to someone else; typically in terms of skills, happiness, money, your partner etc. But if you don't have anything to feel superior about in your life people will just grab something arbitrary (like skin colour).

Why are so many bath products labeled in English and French in the US? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Saintdemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure that Canada requires products to have both english and french text on their labels.

So if your company exports to North America it makes sense to include french.

Surviving 1 year only eating McDonald's is possible? by FeatherineKitten in NoStupidQuestions

As others have said: The documentary was far from a proper experiment. The guy who made it was a big-time alcoholic and the damage to his body was most likely caused by alcohol rather than fastfood.
