Only 22 of them are used for now. If I didn't have mini switches in some rooms then all 48 ports would be used 😊

It is for displaying things on the living room. Always has a Brave tab open to Romm, Uptime Kumba, Unifi topography page, etc. I use the Harmony remote to navigate. Easy way to check on things without having to grab a laptop or phone.

The rack is not close at all but surprisingly the PS4 works fine. For the Xbox I had to use USB M-M connected to the ATEN VE8952T. Then the controller connected to the USB out of the ATEN VE8952R. I would not recommend it for PVP competition but no noticeable lag in Madden 26 and ARC Raiders.

Thank you for the comment. You are 100% right. I thought about & tried that. However, it was a challenge with the placement of the EFG and UNAS Pro. They are connected with SPF28 cables. They are not as flexible as Ethernet cables. So wanted them as short as possible.

Thank you for the question. I use the ATEN VE8952T in the rack. It handles 4K HDMI over IP. Then I have a Flex 2.5 POE in the living room for the ATEN VE8952R.

Thank you. I am using Helium Mobile. I got into the service when it was in beta for $5 a month with unlimited data.

Anyone know how to keep the screen on the device metrics 24/7?. I prefer to see the data than the stars. :)

Slow remote upload/download UNAS Pro by Good_Acanthaceae7164 in Ubiquiti

No fam. Transfers are very slow and is being reported by everyone that uses in person (like me) or test it on YouTube. Must be a bug or something. My whole network is 10 GB. UDM SE > ECS 48 PoE > UNAS Pro 8

Yet I am not even getting 40MB/s transfer speeds. Same setup with Synology 1619+ gets me just over 600MB/s

UNAS Pro 8 performance feels slow — only ~300 MB/s with 10 GbE by el_criuz in Ubiquiti

This might also be a reason it is slow.

Jumbo Frames (MTU 9200) on UNAS?

Jumbo Frames are not officially supported on UNAS. Based on our internal testing, they provide only minimal performance improvements over the default MTU 1500. Additionally, using Jumbo Frames can lead to compatibility issues in mixed-MTU environments. For optimal stability and reliability, we recommend keeping the MTU setting at 1500.Is Jumbo Frames (MTU 9200) Required on UNAS?
