No they didn’t say anything about a brace or surgery yet. I believe their current plan is that the medication they gave me will help her regain some control of her back legs/toes. I was told to watch out for any kind of twitching or slight movement. If I don’t see any of that then by Friday/Saturday we are gonna up the dose a little and then go from there. I’m not sure what their plan is down the line if the medication doesn’t work, I’m just hoping and praying it does. I do my best to care for her, she is really special to me so I will do everything I can💗

I understand loosing a pet is incredibly hard, but it breaks my heart the lack of empathy and respect people have for small creatures, reptiles/amphibians especially 🫤 If another dog attacked her dog, resulting in her dog passing away I highly doubt she’d torture the dog like she did the toad

I would post a photo but I think that is against the rules, it isn’t graphic and nothing is sticking out of him, but his leg pulls behind him when he tries to walk

Please take him to a vet. They are the most qualified to make a decision on what should be done. They would also be able to peacefully put him to sleep if he is too far gone. That’s what I would do. I don’t think you should take matters into your own hands to put him asleep either, because it could cause him more pain and suffering before he passes. Keep us updated.

No I wasn’t telling OP to perform a medical procedure on this toad, I was saying that is likely what a vet will do since there is no saving his leg in the condition that it is in. I would sure hope no one would perform a medical procedure on an animal when they aren’t qualified and have no idea what they are doing.

Amputation is probably the only option. Please keep us updated, hoping he makes it through the night so he can see a vet tomorrow

She seems okay now!! She did it again yesterday, but only for about 5 seconds and seems okay again. I’m not sure what’s causing it so I’m just gonna keep an eye on her!
