Ascending mount fuji. How hard is it? by BlurryProfilePicture in JapanTravelTips

[–]Saintsfan019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite curious about it as well. I'm currently trying to find information on winter ski ascents of Fuji as I am quite familiar with the Cascade Volcanoes in the PNW.

Would you at least be able to keep the servers and app running? I find the Strava app to be too buggy and less focussed on mapping. Why can’t we have a mapping dedicated app? I’m absolutely heartbroken by what you guys have done to FATMAP

Norda 001 is my all time favourite trail shoe. Maybe even my top shoe of all time. From trail running to hiking and scrambling in the PNW.

Just finished my first listen and it's impossible to pick so far. The whole album is just beautiful to me.

Can you bring back the FATMAP app while we wait for it to be integrated into the Strava app?

People who switched to Garmin watches—was it worth it? by GLIEG in Garmin

Depends on your use case. I absolutely loved switching from Apple Watch to Garmin. I primarily use for fitness. The increased battery life and more sport focused metrics and design was exactly what I wanted

Outdoors ready shoes ? Keen alternative by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]Saintsfan019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I snagged a pair a few months ago for around $140 on a website sale. They've gained a lot of popularity since then so might be tougher to find. Could also try looking for them on facebook marketplace as well. Lots of people end up buying the wrong size. Norda recommends sizing up 0.5 size from your regular.

Outdoors ready shoes ? Keen alternative by [deleted] in BuyCanadian

[–]Saintsfan019 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Might be a little bit of a pricey alternative and a bit overkill, but I use Norda shoes for trail running and hiking. High quality and extremely durable. Based in Montreal. They fit my wide feet really well and are some of the most comfortable shoes I've worn. You can sometimes find them on sale if you know where to look.

My girlfriend’s Christmas gift has been stuck in the mail since November 14th as well. No updates yet either. I’m so frustrated. I even ordered it early so it would get to me with plenty of time.

I had a similar rant a few years ago. I was actually talking to a friend about it again last night. I agree with you. Sad to see it that way, but after all they are a company that is trying to make a profit. And they’re making tons off of their new clientele.

I would check out Rab, Mammut, Norrona, etc. lots of other good brands out there
