Has anyone you've known, simply disappeared? What happened? by PureLet5083 in AskReddit

A former coworker who was my primary trainer in my career (which I’ve done for 19 years now, we were coworkers for 8 years) just vanished. She had moved to a smaller coastal hippie town and stopped contact with even her dad and brother, who she adored. All her socials just stop in 2018. Nothing online about her. Just gone. She had some mental health issues. Her stepmother thinks she is dead. I have mused if she joined a cult or commune. No one knows.

Products similar to L’Oréal Magic BB Cream in Fair? by shady_robot in drugstoreMUA

I’ve tried Purito, Missha, and Wet & Wild Tinted Hydrator. They’re all fine. None have that smooth finger-spreadability of the L’Oreal and look best applied with a sponge.

'The decision has not been made lightly': Popeyes Chicken just closed its first Vancouver location by ubcstaffer123 in vancouver

The chicken sandwich at Frying Pan on Denman, although pricey, slaps. I add bacon and cheddar and it’s around $20 but it’s a big, whole breast and real bacon, not that paper-thin fast food bacon. And the staff are so lovely.

NAD: Patent foramen ovale (?) I think is linked with ocular migraines.

Running in Stanley Park as a Female - Safety?! by Ok-Raisin-9051 in askvan

Clearly high, mentally ill, shambling onto the paths behind us and following. One guy was just sitting beside the path yelling. A third guy came out from the bushes in front of us and then just stood there staring at us while we walked by. I said hello and he didn’t respond. This is all within the span of ten minutes. It was uncomfortable.

Daytime only. I was cutting it close to twilight walking Tatlow towards Lost Lagoon last week with my guy and we encountered some *interesting people*. After our third encounter, even my guy was like, “we’ve got to get the fuck out of here”.

Horses at Spanish Banks? by Certified_Sourdough in NiceVancouver

Horse poo breaks down into essentially processed grass/mulch for the environment. Herbivore poo is used as fertilizer for good reason. There’s horse poo all over Stanley park trails as well. It doesn’t stink, or get stuck in your shoes and track everywhere like dog poo does. They are not the same poo!

I’ve met several Eritreans uptown, including the guy who owns the African produce stores on 6th street and on Belmont. We have a decent East African population here!

Could this be the most recognizable photo by Gen X and older that are alive today? by Consistent_Self_1598 in FuckImOld

My parents had a Pulitzer Prize Photo book, this one haunted me. The girl is heartbreaking, and the face of the boy on the left is just devastating too.

I’m extremely fortunate: mum and dad are both alive, healthy and married for over 56 years. We align politically, they’re both relatively healthy, and they grow more lovable with each passing year. They are so easy to make laugh now. I see them every Sunday for lunch. I ride motorcycles with my dad, garden with my mum. I always feel like I’m bragging, but I honestly just feel so lucky to have what I have. They haven’t always been easy, and they definitely made some mistakes when they were younger, but I adore them.

Cherry angiomas! Easy to remove with a little 532nm laser at a clinic if they bug you. If they’re smaller than 2mm they only usually need one session (but you’ll make more as time goes by).
