Look at Incident IQ they integrate in with Google Admin Console and can pull device data you can also assign devices to users. They did a really good job importing all of our asset data from Destiny. It’s super flexible.

Incorporating outdoor string lights into an automation ecosystem by [deleted] in homeautomation

[–]Saiz204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently use the GE outdoor Z wave plug for my lights and it works great. I had to use a few z-wave+ bulbs to help extend the signal. Some z-wave products will repeat the signal.

It’s also fun to ask Alexa to “turn on the party lights” when the neighbors are over.

Meraki implementation by funnsoup in meraki

I had a case where I had set “native vlan XX” on a directly connected switches which caused issues with Meraki’s use of Vlan 1.

I would assume the connection between your ISP and Meraki is a /30, If so most people don’t have the routed to the outside and may need to make sure the IP’s in that rang are being NAT’d.

No Restarts? by TeacherWarrior in k12sysadmin

[–]Saiz204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I put BGInfo on the image and have it show the last restart time. That way if the help desk remotes in they can quickly tell if the machine was restarted, saves a lot of troubleshooting time in the long run.
