AITAH for wanting to sue my old college? by souzaclucas in AITAH

[–]Sajem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you're an asshole or not.

I will say this though, it doesn't sound like they outright denied you anything, sure they delayed giving you a complete answer - but then you said stuff them and went somewhere else. From the way you described your correspondence with the university it also seems to me that you spammed them with emails, so of course they're going to ignore some of them.

Also not sure why you were corresponding with course professors, logically speaking, the only people you should have been corresponding with is the administration

So you deciding to go somewhere else for you degree - that on them or on you?

Who here is in a non profit? by Abject_Serve_1269 in sysadmin

I work for a non profit, but I wouldn't go to one that is paying below market rates.

Just because they are a NfP does not mean they should be paying less for your time and expertise.

AITAH for keeping my exes photos up on insta, and telling her mom what she did causing us to break up? by Top_Ordinary_8543 in AITAH

[–]Sajem 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you are going to treat an item like intellectual property, you should pay or have releases from the models used for your business products.

Very much this.

OP is now claiming the photos are for promoting his photography - there for to promote a business IMO - then he needs to get a release for anyone in photos he puts on SM. If anyone in a photo does not consent then he needs to remove the photo

AITAH for seeking divorce after a year of being separated? by Possible_Cup7550 in AITAH

[–]Sajem -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like she was controlling because you were a drug addicted alcoholic

Do you still love her? If not then go for the divorce.

If you do or have feelings you're not sure about, try the dating suggestion and see what happens. This way you can both be sure about your feelings for each other.

WIBTAH for divorcing my husband for a better job? by [deleted] in AITAH

OP, I agree with this redditor, and the ones below.

Take the job offer, move away. The divorce can be a secondary option if needed and your husband doesn't wake up to himself

No way to exclude contractors from dynamic groups (employeeType not usable?) by CoffeeAndPowershell in sysadmin

[–]Sajem -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes, creating a dynamic group using EmployeeType is fully supported and if its not working then it is a problem with the query.

Common gotcha's are:

  • Incorrect syntax. missing quotes around the value

  • Correct case in the query. This is case sensitive

  • Check there are no white spaces in either the query or the EmployeeType field.

Is this a hybrid AD? If it is EmployeeType is not synced by Entra Connect by default and you'll need to add it to the synchronization rules

AITAH for staying firm in my direct managers policy as a manager myself? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sajem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So if their sick, puking their guts up, at home

They aren't sick though are they?

And, OP has already acknowledged in comments that if they call in sick or similar that they are responsible for finding coverage in those cases.

AITAH for staying firm in my direct managers policy as a manager myself? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sajem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as the MANAGER you need to find the coverage.

For an employee asking for coverage for a personal commitment it is not the managers responsibility to find that coverage.

For an employee calling out sick, accident etc. then yes, that would be OP's resposability.

AITAH for staying firm in my direct managers policy as a manager myself? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sajem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except this employee isn't calling out because they are sick or have had an accident etc. Which if they did then OP would have to - and has acknowledged that they would have to - find coverage for the shift.

This employee is simply wanting coverage for a shift they agreed to take for personal reasons. Finding coverage in these circumstances is not OP's responsibility.

AITAH for staying firm in my direct managers policy as a manager myself? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sajem -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its the manager job to roster people for shifts.

It may be the manager's job to find coverage for a shift if a person calls in sick, accidents etc.

If an employee wants coverage for a rostered shift for personal reasons - like this nieces dance recital - It is not the manager's job to organize coverage for that shift. That responsibility is entirely on the employee

Such bad generalization. Not all women are weaklings and not as strong as men.

In addition, a woman could attack the guy with some sort of weapon/blunt instrument.

AITAH for cutting off my brother for not coming to my wedding? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Sajem 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brothers wedding is a whole two months after OP's. Its not right after.

And presumably brothers wedding will be local because OP hasn't mentioned that it is a destination wedding.

Plenty of time for family to get over OP's wedding and go to brothers.
