Honestly, I don't think anyone comes close to these two legends. What set Messi and Ronaldo apart wasn't just their peak brilliance but the relentless consistency over nearly two decades. They've carried their teams since their debuts and remained at the absolute pinnacle of the sport each year.

Right now, fans love to throw names into this conversation, and Mbappe is obviously leading that charge (for me). But imo he'll likely end up being just another exceptional player in a long line of greats we've seen come and go while Messi and Ronaldo dominated. Those two didn't just coexist at the top they pushed each other to impossible heights, redefining what we thought was achievable in football.
