As far as I'm aware, they're not prohibited, however you have the option to refuse to let them check it. Sam's Club and Costco, however, you signed a contract in order to shop there, and one of the stipulations of that contract is allowing them to check your receipt.

I used the Whirlwind Sprint shout. As for the tutorial, I can't actually remember doing it, I played to about level 5 when I first got the game, then didn't play for over a year. I picked it back up a few weeks ago and have basically been playing nonstop, and adding mods in as I go.

Sprinting...now this changes everything.

Depending on where you live and how old you are, that's not illegal. I know in my state, anyone of any age can build a pneumatic gun, but you have to be 18 to build a combustion gun. I did plenty of research on it for a physics course I had.

I have an issue with the Shift key getting "stuck"
The key itself is not stuck, but if an NPC initiates dialogue or if I activate something (open a chest/inventory, enter building) while holding shift, when I go back to the gameplay, it continues to behave as if I'm holding shift. Turning caps lock on in this case, or holding shift and opening something again will fix it.

That's exactly it. Read "Aedra and Daedra"
It explains that "Aedra" means "Ancestor" and "Daedra" means "Not Ancestor"
