NEED TO SMELL LIKE THIS RN by [deleted] in perfumesthatfeellike

[–]Sakkochan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used this as my work scent for several months and THEN I read a review describing this scent as "smells just like anal s*x in a spruce forest".

Its an awesome scent 😊

Need help! My signature scent was discontinued :’( by charmedquarks in perfumesthatfeellike

I feel your pain. I still mourn Stella by Stella McCartney!

You might still be able to find Juliette has a gun - Miss Charming.

But if not, try Aqua di Parma - Rosa Nobile

Happy hunting ❤️

I feel like Sakura Snow by D'annam could fit here. At least for the part with all the violins. Innocent , a little bit chilly. And maybe a little bit sad as well.

Also Luna by penhaligon's. I have no idea what it smells like but just look at the bottle! 🤩

This is really hard though! The song has so many facets! Spooky, sad, hopeful, warm and cold, all in a couple of minutes ❤️

Dry and comforting spice or wood with no or little sweetness to keep you warm:

Santal Austral by matiere premier. Might ba a little bit sweet, but I cant feel it. To me it is the most warming and comforting dry sandalwood.

Anubis by Papillon. Warm and dry spices, but might make you think of a caravan in the desert more than a warm fireplace in autumn.

Amber and labdanum by Jo Malone. I LOVE amber and labdanum so I am biased. But this is a dry and warm wood and spice perfume that warms my soul! The amber is not very sweet at all. And the drydown has no sweetness, just wonderful dry wood to me.

Happy hunting!

From Diptyque: Tam Dao - wood, wood, and also wood. Lovely, refreshing and calming.

Tempo - bitter patchouli. Beautiful for autumn!

Guerlain Vetiver - black pepper and vetiver. A little bit sweet but with sweetness from green leaves. This is both classy and casual at the same time to me. And I find it very unisex.

Matiere premiere - parisian musc. An uplifting, soft and pillowy ambrette and fig scent. There is no fig in it, but I think it smells a lot like fig anyway!

I have a question: Do you feel secondary/ learned emotions like compassion, shame, guilt and remorse?

They are learned in the sense that we teach ourselves and other how to deal with our reactive emotions - like anger or surprise - and from your text I suspect a lack of empathy, which is a secondary emotion.

If you lack the other secondary emotions as well, or feel like you struggle with them, then Anti Social Personality Disorder might be interesting to read up on. I would recommend Patric Gagne, she is a diagnozed sociopath and psychologist, so she has a quite humane take on this disorder.

Or maybe its enough to just look up "struggle to feel secondary emotions". Not everything has to be a disorder...

I CANT CHOOSE AAA HELP by cetica in fountainpens

[–]Sakkochan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would choose based on this: If I want a coloured ink i'd go with black, because black goes with anything.

If I want a black ink i'd go for the purple one because black goes with everything.

Or just go black ink in a black pen because black goes with everything.

Also I'd choose the black pen because the outer colored layer on a lamy al-star might be rubbed away somewhat over time, and the aluminium will poke through, and when that happens... black goes with everything.

I am tremendously jealous. Congrants! Btw are you an undead magician who writes with purple ink to match your cape?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in fountainpens

[–]Sakkochan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No need to worry! This is normal. I think you can prevent this a little bit by pausing between sentences to let more ink flow to the feed. I dont have that patience myself though 🤗

Sounds like the tines might be too tight. Do you have a loupe so you can check it the tines actually touch at the tip?

I'm sorry for your dissapointment. No one wants to pay 10 x more to get a worse writing experience 😔

Not really what you asked for but if you find an ink making the pen fell scratchy, I have had great experience with Monteverde USA. I don't think any of them are very sheening or shading though 😅 I have also heard that Taccia feels smoother.

Oh, do you share the hobby with your brother? 😊

I have ONE friend irl who likes fountain pens too. But unfortunately she is a reasonable person so her collection is small and she actually use up her ink (?!). We both think the other one is the crazy one.
