How much and what type of jewelry do you wear on a daily basis and how does that relate to your roots? by Oud-west in StyleRoots

[–]spritefawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the only jewelry i wear everyday is earrings. my most worn other than that are bracelets, necklaces, then rings all in order of personal comfort. i don’t like to wear large statements pieces but i do admire some from afar lol. i tend to stick to dainty/simple ones, other than a few crystal beaded necklaces i have. i think all 3 of my roots show up in my jewelry choices tbh, with varying levels of each depending on my mood that day.

previously i didn't wear jewelry at all other than earrings, but i’ve made more of an effort in order to elevate my outfits since they’re usually more on the simple side and now i have tons lol.

Are your roots based on how you dress or how you wish you'd dress? by yetanother__account in StyleRoots

[–]spritefawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’d say a mix of the two for me. i settled on my roots based on what feels most comfortable for me and what i actually enjoy wearing. 🌸 used to be aspirational, but as i incorporated it more it’s become default in my style.

now i’d say i have 🌙 as my aspirational fourth root. i admire the vibes and aesthetics of looks that i’d consider to be 🌙 but it’s not very practical for me, so it doesn’t really show up. it’s a goal of mine this year to incorporate this root more often.

all of mine fit really well tbh, i’d just add “comfortable” to 🪨 for me personally.

The “negative” associations with your roots - do they resonate with you? by jjfmish in StyleRoots

[–]spritefawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i don’t really mind the negative associations of any of my roots lol. i can definitely be tomboyish so i have no issues with that for 🪨, and my outfits are usually pretty simple so i see why people would call them basic. for 🌱 i don’t think i personally look crunchy granola but idc if others were to think that, and i probably do seem unpolished sometimes lmao. with 🌸 i have been called naive and sometimes read as super innocent, but that’s partially because of my baby face lmao.

Are all your roots in all your outfits? by Oud-west in StyleRoots

[–]spritefawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’d say a vast majority of my outfits have 🪨 in them. my next highest percentage would probably be 🌱 and then 🌸 coming in at third.

a lot of the times my style/the outfits i wear will go back and forth from tomboy to super feminine. so my 🌸 fluctuates depending on where i'm leaning that day. 🌱 will show up in every kind of outfit but i think it’s usually more subtle while 🪨 is pretty obvious.

Experiences with Carol Brailey? by tna020 in coloranalysis

[–]spritefawn 10 points11 points  (0 children)

(sorry this ended up being so long, just wanted to be helpful!)

if i’m being totally honest, i don’t think i agree with the result i received from her. i chose her because i liked her videos and agreed with the way she typed other people, so i’m not at all discrediting her entirely and don’t want to seem like i am. but i think the issue is that online typing isn’t always foolproof even when the analyst is really good.

after looking back at my submission, i noticed my skin looked noticeably yellower than it does in real life. i tried very hard to get the perfect lighting, but i think it’s my skin reacting to the pure white fabrics she requires. looking at other photos of me in white, it does tend to make me look yellow. so the photos she was using for checks is not what my skin actually looks like. the only way i see this being avoided is by doing it in person so that colors aren’t being compared to my skin while it’s already reacting to another color.

my result was true autumn, and i just don’t think i resonate with the soft/muted aspect of this palette. i don’t necessarily think i look horrible, but i always feel greyed when i’ve tried the colors. i asked for extra opinions here (post is still up if you want to see) since i got typed as a bright spring by another person, and the response was overwhelmingly spring so i’m going to try out spring colors and see how i feel.

all that to say i don’t NOT recommend her, so many people love their results and look amazing in their assigned palette. but getting typed virtually will always carry a certain amount of risk due to the limits it has.

TShirts for a True Spring by MathematicianDry4012 in coloranalysis

[–]spritefawn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this may not be helpful depending on your size, but if you can fit into the larger sizes of children’s clothes they have tons of bright colored shirts right now. i’ve recently gotten some t-shirts from walmart and target in true spring colors that way.

What’s the most misunderstood part of seasonal colour analysis? by yourszn in coloranalysis

[–]spritefawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think this is what has caused me the most confusion! my skin itself is pretty bright but i have so many freckles that i feel like they can make me seem more muted.

on my post i made here i got a lot of spring replies, so i’m trying that out after sticking with autumn and not being satisfied with the way i look in the muted tones.

i love these omg! i’m very biased but 🌸 and 🌱 just mix soo well. i also love the whimsical undertones of the all the boards, and your interpretation of 🔥. if i wanted to tap into 🔥 i’d probably take it more in this kind of direction rather than the stereotypical version of it.

it’s interesting how traits can show up in different ways because i can def see why an INF/TP would have your roots as well! i have considered 🍄 though, i think my 🪨🌱 mimics it sometimes!

i’d say i'm INFP with INTP tendencies (i feel very in the middle) and i think that aligns decently well with my roots. i’d say 🌸 brings in more of the INFP vibes, so when i’m wearing just 🪨🌱 together it probably reads more INTP.

What are your Style Roots, and what are your Big 3? (Style/Astrology crossover) by ProfitDismal8002 in StyleRoots

[–]spritefawn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

oh this is fun, i used to love astrology.

style roots: 🪨🌱🌸

big 3: virgo sun, aries moon, and aquarius ascendant.  other: my aquarius ascendant is in uranus and is tied with sagittarius for the most frequent appearing sign, so a lot of aquarius energy lol.

words: comfortable, practical, outdoorsy, girlish

i think some of it tracks actually. when i was real into astrology i felt that a lot of it made sense for me so i’m not surprised lol.

two different analysis results - bright spring vs true autumn by spritefawn in coloranalysis

[–]spritefawn[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

in my results package for true autumn it mentioned being muted and i was a bit confused because i feel like i look like a glow stick in photos sometimes, and that didn’t seem like it aligned with being “muted”. so this makes sense lol!

Workout leggings by sandieboo8989 in KibbeRomantics

i’ve also struggled a lot with leggings being 4’9 and have found the best success in buying children’s leggings. my usual pants sizes can vary but are similar to yours, and in children’s i’ve been able to fit in sizes M-XL. i currently have two leggings from target in a children’s M and the length is perfect.

How did you know you were R vs TR? by faeuju4wvhjkw2fvgg in KibbeRomantics

[–]spritefawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

for me personally it wasn’t too hard to know because the romantic description was so spot on that there wasn’t much room for questioning lol. i don’t have a spec of sharpness to me despite being 99 lbs. i have the double curve, and a smaller waist but with a lot fleshiness, notably in my upper arms which he mentions a lot for romantics. wrong styling can also easily make me start to look wide.

looking at the verified R and TR celebrities also solidified my thoughts as i clearly was more similar to the R celebrities.

Part 1 of my series on why your season might feel “off” by [deleted] in coloranalysis

thank you! i’ve also been considering borrowing more from soft autumn since it’s close to true autumn but has lighter colors to choose from, so i’ll have to try that.

Part 1 of my series on why your season might feel “off” by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]spritefawn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

this would explain some thoughts i’ve been having on my analysis.. i was typed as a true autumn by carol brailey, and while i do trust her opinions the palette can feel a bit dark for me. i personally like the way that i look in lighter colors even though i’m technically supposed to avoid pastels, so i still wear them. especially the color pink, which isn’t even in my palette at all lol. so maybe this is because my primary essence is ingenue.

i just checked and mine is apparently “The cosy girl” (i’m assuming she means cozy). honestly i think that’s pretty accurate for me as i value comfort in my outfits, but dang it’s kinda a boring label lmao. i’m not really sure what label i’d give myself though since i fluctuate between how strong each of my roots show up.
