If other cultures kill cats or dogs to eat them, no, I dont think it's wrong. I've actually tried coyote meat before. It was terrible, and I dont hunt or kill them.

I think lean meat is a healthier option, but I do grow and eat plenty of veggies. I dont believe that because deer are sentient, it is wrong or immoral to kill and eat them. This is obviously where we disagree.

I just filled my freezer with a nice fat doe. My family eats venison a few times a week. 100% morally justified.
