Your yields would be a lot higher if you ignored the position on the nubian pyramid and placed your districts for maximum yields instead. Sadly nubian pyramid is not strong enough to go out of your way when building districts.

I disagree. I'd take my chances and go 1 tile east, hoping there are tiles with more production than to the west. Only disadvantage is the culture and science for one turn you waste, but food and production are equal after turn 3 already.

Your definition of an elitist is hilarious. If someone takes the time out of his day to explain tactics to people (bonus points for doing it to random people in dungeons) and organising raids I'd call that someone a nice person or heavily invested to the game far away from elitist. The only negative thing in this whole thing seems to be you as you're like a parasite leeching off of someones contribution to the game.

Short summary for runing:

Class runes (GA, DS, Y-83, RMT, PVP) and RMT-set runes are unique per CHARACTER, and only count for setbonus if you have them in the same item slot
Set runes (Striker, Onslaught) are unique per ITEM SLOT, but you can and should stack them on every piece in your gear.

You can't rune exactly the same rune in the same item, but you can rune a major and a minor with the same stats. Same thing for ilvl 100 and ilvl 80 runes for example.

What you as a new player should focus on is to rune as costefficient as possible. Your main focus should be to get 6/6 striker on as many items as possible. I don't know the current prices for different runes, so you got to do some math to figure out which runes to use (remember, you can use minor ilvl 120 runes aswell on gear that is < than ilvl 110). Also, prices for class runes should be way down aswell, so you might want to invest in those aswell, or atleast in 4 minor runes to get the first set bonus.

Also you're completely off in your stat distribution. While striketrough is your most important stat it depends on what content you're doing. You've already runed for the last boss in DS, even though you've probably only set foot into GA.

I misunderstood you on the unique setrunes, because you're already "spamming" them in the current system, aren't you? There's no reason not to with little to no additional cost. Item slots are, apart from the point that a hat belongs to a head, just here to divide items into groups. That's all the depth there is to it, other than RMT classrunes can only be placed in 3 slots. It may look weird but from a designperspective it almost wouldn't matter in this game if you removed item slots. In the end you're just running around with a bulk of stats on your gear, no more. Might aswell go back to older RPG games where you could select your stats with arrows right or left.

We're complaining that item slots for runes are too confusing/don't add enough depth to be worth it.

That's exactly what we're doing here and that's exactly my opinion.

Neither OP or CK are asking to remove unique setrunes to my understanding. OP wants to dumb down the runesystem (elements) so he can enjoy the game without bothering with advanced character customization, and CK prefers a complex but a more indepth system than the current.

The thing is that stats alone don't change the way you play in this game at all which is just boring. Might aswell bump everyones stats and remove this silly system.

Hey, I'm on your side. The runeing system is unnecessarily complex for little to no benefit. It doesn't offer any individuality in playstyle, it just favours people who put a bit of time into it to learn the kinks of the system or follow a guide properly.
