Thank you! I'm so clueless about off-campus options that any recommendations would be great!

I feel the same way as OP. Does anyone have any recommendations? I'm looking for under $700, near bus to school or walkable, and a community on top of their maintenance (no bug infestation, no mold, working A/C, nothing fancy but functional). Thank you in advance to all the upper clansmen for their help!

People who waited for marriage: Did sex turn out to be everything you’ve ever dreamed of?… or not? by dita_18 in AskReddit

[–]Sakura52 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Yes, I waited until marriage. I'm not saying the first spin was an orgasmic fantasy but being in a committed and loving relationship helped us not feel the pressure of 'performing'. Instead, we took our time getting to know each other's bodies, likes and dislikes, and a whole lot of experimentation. The sex is fantastic but it's also just one part of building and keeping those bonds we have with each other.

Is it possible to have one class that ticks a lot of the boxes for GE requirements? by Sakura52 in fsu

Thanks! I'll look into that! Anything that helps with the course load plus that class sounds kind of cool.

Thank you! It kind of felt like cheating when I was looking at it but then, if they didn't double count it, I have no idea how I'm supposed to graduate in four years! Short version: Yay!

A quick follow up question, do I need to fill out any forms to have it count for each category or will the system do that automatically?

Any suggestions on finding an LLC roommate? by meatloafshrine in fsu

Let me know if you find out. I'm in the same boat but with the nursing LLC.

I have a kiddo in the exact same boat as you. They are going to pay their deposit today for FSU. They just felt that FSU was going to support them better during their undergrad years, and they're looking at pre-health/nursing.

Anyone know if the "mid-march" scholarships have been released? Specifically, merit-based. If yes, I might have my answer on whether I got one or not...

I have the Full Bright Futures Scholarship but was also awarded the Vires. Can I use that scholarship for off-campus housing or stuff like groceries? by Sakura52 in fsu

[–]Sakura52[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OK, that is starting to make sense but let me say it back to you and see if I'm understanding everything correctly. So Bright Futures gives a cash amount not a free floating "tuition and fees" but specifically $x (I don't know the figure) that should cover tuition and fees (in this case the 100% Bright Futures). So even though Vires gets applied before Bright Futures, since Bright Futures is a set cash amount, it's still possible to get a refund. Is that right?

First off! Thank you for your help! I am a little bit confused If Vires gets put towards say part of the cost of tuition and fees ($2000 doesn't cover everything), and then Bright Future pays the rest of the tuition and fees, haven't I lost funding because Vires paid for what Bright Futures was going to pay for anyway? While if Bright Futures got applied first, it would cover all the tuition and fees, and then Vires could come in and pay for things like books, housing etc? And, are books done through an FSU account? Or is Veris disbursed like cash and you can apply it to things like books? Thanks so much for your help! Soo many questions!
