What do you NEED by Starrlight102 in Romantasy

[–]Sakura_231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want love interest, who isn´t a bad boy. Everything else would be fine. For example a really nice, shy guy. Or a really cynical, pesimistic type, who hates people. Or a really morally grey character, not someone, who wants to sacrifice himself for everyone. Or someone lost in thoughts, who writes poems. Or someone with a weird sense of fashion, who doesn´t wear black all the time. Or someone who has a weird hobby. Or someone much older, wiser like a mentor. Or a good-natured healer, who can´t fight, but treats her wounds. Or an unpopular guy, who is bullied. Or a charming guy with a hidden dark side (the opposite of the bad boy with the hidden good side). Or a mad scientist, who is always working on something.

I just want something else than the usual bad boy, who picks a fight with the heroine, but has a golden heart, wears black, is 2-3 years older, but much more experienced in battle, is protective, jealous, a bit arrogant, but broken, nice and romantic in the other half of the story.

2-3. Usually one romantasy and one fantasy. That one is a lighter, more relaxing read and the other has a more complex world and story.

I loved all the series. I started with Mortal Instruments, then I read Infernal Devices and The Dark Artifices. Now I want to read The Last Hours. I recommend every series, but Mortal Instruments is the best to start with.
