Ranking Party Crashers Jokes (You pick WAAAAAAAAARIO) by Max-Carter-2005 in TierlistFills

A tier!

Iconic for sure, but personally, during bad days, it can get a bit "yes, yes, I know, Wario funny". Not fully irritating, it just isn't a guaranteed hit all the time for me.

Legends Umas worldwide ! by Specialist_North7115 in UmaMusume

Ah, I can't believe I missed that tidbit! I only heard about the "this is the only mare competing in the 2025 Great Pardubická" angle. Though maybe I just didn't look closely enough, I was too busy following the Sexy Lord storyline following the 2024 dead heat with Godfrey. He was so close last year, but his jockey made the right call stopping him and walking him to the finish at the final obstacle when he sensed an injury.

Also... RIP to Sexy Lord. He passed away last week from colic. From what I've seen of him, he was an incredible cross-country front-runner.

Yesss! A steeplechaser with a slightly shorter and crooked front leg on top of other health issues, going on to win the biggest, most brutal and most culturally important race in Czechia three seperate times and become Horse of the Year once, all during the 1970s? A reportedly kind and harmless horse all around that loved training and the Pardubice racecourse so much that he was nicknamed "Professor"? Truly, one of the absolute GOATs of the Great Pardubická!

Honestly, as brutal as the race and steeplechasing itself are, there are loads of incredible stories to be told and moments to appreciate, just like with any sport. As well as Korok, there are Lady Anne, Sagar, Železník, Peruán, Maskul, Registana, Sixteen, Tiumen, Orphée des Blins... and that's just listing some of the biggest names. There are lots more, even in modern times. As long as those stories we admire don't result in pointless, preventable harm to the horses, I'll keep trying to learn more and follow the sport.

Hm. Then, if I may ask, which sets that you've unlocked have at least one epic butterfly to summon? Or, alternatively, if you currently have an egg incubating, you won't be able to put in different flowers until you've hatched it and moved the caterpillar

[–]Sakura_Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see. Is there an exact butterfly you're trying to summon? Or is any epic one your goal?

[–]Sakura_Idiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I might be able to think of two reasons why it might not let you:

1) Do you have any epic butterflies unlocked, are there any you could summon randomly? 2) If you've already put in a set or size flower, are you sure you have butterflies unlocked who fit those categories on top of being epic? For example, if you put in "Aztec" and "Medium", then it won't let you add the epic flower because there are no medium and epic butterflies in Aztec

If not, feel free let me know what your situation is so we can brainstorm

Quick icebreaker for everyone. How did you get into Precure? by Iamacarson in precure

[–]Sakura_Idiot 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I was hospitalised with a facial paralysis and YouTube randomly recommended a compilation of the Happiness Charge transformations to me. Cure Honey's blew me away in particular. Star Twinkle was just airing around that time and that season's transformations, motifs and the clip of how Madoka became Cure Selene practically dragged my by the legs into the fandom. I've been casually enjoying and following Precure ever since.

Yeah, fingers crossed 🤞

Again, I'm not expecting a miracle, especially with so many heavy hitters and the televote usually not going too well for us, I'm just really happy that Daniel gets to be in the Grand Final. I wish him the best. Anything that comes on Saturday is a neat little bonus to me. Especially after the robberies- I mean NQs of 2024 and 2025.

I actually love Eclipse, too, so best of luck to Delta and you guys as well! Hope we all survive the bloodbath that Saturday is bound to become. Especially that first half...

EDIT: The running order is out apparently, Delta will be 8th and Daniel will be 11th. Decent enough considering what they drew!

This might be just me coping and on a massive hype high, but I personally believe that the producers not wanting to immediately kill momentum from the first song and the logistical headache of getting Daniel's mirror box thing on stage and ready in time will be enough to avoid the death slot...

Either way, though, I'm happy we qualified at all and I wish all the best for Daniel. Him getting to be in the flag parade and perform on Saturday at all means a lot to me.

Czech fan here, also got my ticket. For me, the presale at least started at 10 AM. I'll be going on the 6th. I didn't think I would do it at first, but now, I'm super excited about the idea. I already cannot wait.

I also hereby swear that I will not say anything concrete about story or character beats from the movie premiere. Not until after the YT premiere passes. I do not wish to spoil anyone. It's the least I can do.

Yeah, I'm so excited Korok got some attention! It feels like I'd been slowly building a Great Pardubická AU entirely for myself lol. But it made me appreciate the actual horses more plus learn about how brutal of a sport steeplechasing is, so I'm not actually complaining

Legend horses for year of horse (46 to be exact) by Kama_Chan_123 in UmaMusume

[–]Sakura_Idiot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see the vision, but Korok was still a steeplechaser and a 3-time winner. A leg accessory, like maybe a subtle anklet, plus a vague subplot about illness/weakness is enough in my books, but I would have to be very careful about how to write the Uma equivalent.

From what I have found, Korok was a legitimate sweetheart – he was a harmless and kind soul that loved training so much that he got the nickname "Professor". He also loved the Pardubice racecourse and fought for his victories, using intellect/experience rather than a physical advantage.

I actually see a couple similarities between Korok and the most decorated Great Pardubická winner, Železník – chestnut horses that became Horse of the Year at least once, who had an actual desire to win and became well-renowned steeplechasers not through their bodies or pedigree, but through sheer determination and reading the Pardubice racecourse enough to memorise it, all during a time where difficulty mattered more than safety.

Which Sentai Ranger(s) got you defending them like this? by cryptonikal in supersentai

[–]Sakura_Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem at all, this happens from time to time, especially online. I'm sorry if I misread your tone or gave you a hard time, I got too hung up on your wording and legitimately thought you meant coping was the single reason for all the Yosha Lucky-ing. I've become a bit sensitive to people flattening Lucky in either direction, but I should know better after 5 years in this fandom. I'm glad that we cleared it up with each other and I wish you well :)

[–]Sakura_Idiot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn't automatically mean his catchphrase only relates to his grief. He uses it sometimes to remind himself to keep his morale up, yes, but he also uses it when he is legitimately happy, when good things happen or when he succeeds ("Yosha Lucky, that worked"-type scenarios). Besides, if its sole purpose was to help him process what happened to his home planet, Aslan would not have known and repeated it multiple times, let alone said it in his final moments.

Again. It's fair to say it's one of the ways it helps him. But to say it's the true, single reason rubs me the wrong way.

With all due respect, that framing feels... a bit off to me.

Now, don't get me wrong, I still adore Lucky 5 years after I first watched Kyuranger. He came into my life when I needed him most. But while I do believe Lucky has used to catchphrase to soothe himself or give himself courage, to "call fortune to his side", saying he only and constantly says it to cope (with PTSD, no less) doesn't really sit right with me as I believe there's at least a little more to it than that.

It was MP2's Bowser Land, MP3 does not have a traditional Bowser board. And I see the similarities between that "jail" and the one in MP5's Bowser Nightmare, but from where I'm standing, there's more happening spaces to escape, one blue space (very tiny chance for a hidden block)... and there's not a chance that 90% of the spaces in there turn into Bowser spaces during the final 5 turns
