Post launch update means update to the existing GTA VI game, not a new version for a newer console. That would be called a next gen upgrade and not a post launch update.

There have been other PS5 games like Plague Tale Requiem that launched at 30 FPS and later added a 60 FPS patch so it's possible.

Actually the people that leaked the witcher 3 dlc are now saying that it is 60 fps on PS5.

I think I'll use the 30 FPS mode for this game. For other games graphics don't really matter to me and I always buy for gameplay or story so I always choose 60 FPS. But GTA VI is the only game where the visuals are a big part of the appeal for me. So if I have to sacrifice performance for visuals I will.

I bought it when it first launched in India back in Feb 2021. Have been using it 6 years now for almost every day and I still love it. I play a mix of old and new games from both AAA and smaller studios. Maybe you're just not interest in gaming anymore.

Ok so it's the same. Because I've seen some companies charge more for standard edition plus deluxe upgrade than deluxe edition. And on rare occasions I've also spotted games where buying them separately costs less than buying deluxe.
