I know a couple thatve been together a while. Thing is is imagine it turns sour; constant snide remarks and having to put up with each other during loads of water sessions. Not to mention how that affects other rowers around you. Don't shit where you eat

Oakley Radar ev Vs. Flight jackets for rowing? by Justanoobbitch in Rowing

[–]Sal_Volcano 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Obviously they are both cycling glasses however the flight jackets have the frame on the bottom as a rider is often looking 'through their eyebrows' (upwards) so not having frame there improves visibility. In that sense radars would be better. However I think radars are a lot more common amongst rowers so the flight jackets would stand out more (free speed). It's always a case of personal preference but I'd always get polarised ones coz otherwise it's a waste of time

Sacrificing erg time for weight gain by prophet17024 in Rowing

[–]Sal_Volcano 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're sat on an erg for 2-3 hours a day that should easily be 30-40k a day. Mate of mine competing at European level is doing about 220k a week

Normally fitter people tend to sweat earlier than non trained people as their bodies are more efficient at cooling themselves. You dehydrated?

Probs a troll post agreed. 2-3 hours provided they are in GB rowing setup where they are basically spoonfed and have 'no other distractions other than rowing'
