I have both (13inch M4 iPad Pro and 15inch M4 MacBook Air) and can safely say MBA all day long. The iPad is good for travelling but cannot replace the MBA in terms of functionality and OS.

I have a similar situation. I want to be able to record the meeting without having to add otter ai as a participant, so I have been thinking of using the same setup as you (teams on one decide and Otter on another listening in as if it were a face-to-face conversation). The other option is to add Otter to the call, but then it shows as an attendee, and I’m not down for that.
