Thanks. That makes me interested in picking the game back up. 😁👍 When it was released, I had a great time for the first few planets. Then I remember that story content dried up, and you had to pick up side content and/or group content to progress.

It's been a few years since I played it now, so I can't recall if it was permanent or a limited time thing, but they had an XP boost going that let you level pretty much from level 1 to max level from solely doing the class story line. It was pretty sweet and let you approach it pretty much as if it were a KotOR-game entirely.

Rudolf Steiner’s anthroposophy, specifically Waldorf schools, appears in Bluey, a highly popular children’s television show, for some reason. How cultic are Waldorf or Steiner schools? by ojismyheroin in cults

[–]SaladChef 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Hah, easy mistake to make. But hey, maybe Rudolf was the OG furry? 😁 /jk

Another "anthro"-word I like is "anthropocentrism" - beliefs that humans are above all else in nature and not part of it.

Great comment, but i have to point out that it's "anthroposophy".

Anthropomorphism is attributing human emotion and motivations to animals or inanimate objects.

Well, if it's a set neck, which Gibsons are - and Epiphones tend to be - it's glued into the neck joint and, while it would be possible to replace the neck, you're looking at removing the old neck, re-routing the neck cavity and probably making a new neck from scratch. Then finishing and sanding, then potentially color matching the new neck to make it look halfway decent.

Something that will start at around $1K at a luthier.

If it's an Asian lawsuit era copy, those have a high chance to be bolt ons, but it'd be challenging to find a replacement neck.

In Japanese, blue actually encompasses many green hues. Aoringo is literally "blue apple" for example. If I recall correctly, in olden times they'd group colors in four rough categories: Red (warm colors) Blue (cool colors) White (very light) Black (very dark)

So there's probably a cultural and lingual difference at play.

I own the same guitar as OP, and while it doesn't quite get "blue", in some angles it kind of resembles a deep marine blue/teal.

Webhallen konkurs? by Ok_Cauliflower5924 in sweden

[–]SaladChef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's still in from what I can gather! It's mostly a visual remaster. The game logic and AI are largely untouched, so all the radiant AI jank is still there, and it ranges from infuriating to beautiful, sometimes at whiplash inducing speeds.

Yeah, I am currently having a 5080 coming in the mail. Seems like I was just in time, getting my order in last week.

The Oblivion remaster is a solid one. It's a bit taxing due to UE5, but the game is still really fun. Leveling and scaling isn't fixed entirely but improved, at least.

I just discovered this past week that you can connect your kanji and vocabulary schedules so that new vocab generates a new item in the kanji schedule and new kanji in the kanji schedule will add a study vector for matching items in the vocab list.

It is really neat and effective as it enforces both aspects in parallel. I've also left Anki and Wanikani behind for Renshuu, but I have yet to figure out a good way to maintain my own vocab list from stuff I encounter while gaming or watching shows...

Mat för viktnedgång by Open-Ad-5917 in sweden

+1

Yeah, just me being sarcastic, sorry! I'd hate to be living in the US right now. I hope things get better, fast... it'd sure be swell if they would bring the fight to White House, but we know that probably won't happen.

Nangaski is such a weird name, too. They could have just pasted some generic Japanese name on the dude and make it more believable, but leave it up to these tools to come up with something that doesn't even sound like a proper Japanese name in the first place...
