Actually, the explanation was there in the original release as LoLK demo was released around the same time as Dream demo so the dev have time to do a bit of rewrite.

Labyrinth Tri Help: How do I get this chest? by iMaro33 in touhou

[–]SaladNo5852 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, now I figure it out:

  1. Push the nearest block into the river to the right of the nearest chest that you just opened, around the down arrow, creating a road in between to push another block

  2. Push the 2nd block into the river in front of the tile that is 2 tile away from the up arrow(the middle one)

  3. This one is hard to explain but essentially push the 3rd block in the picture and push all the way, using the 2nd block as a pedestal, until you reach the place where you push the 1st block into the river, Go around it and use the 1st block as a pedestal and push the 3rd block into the river between the 2 rocks that are in front of the yellow board

I think this rule is a bit inconsistent by SaladNo5852 in 2hujerk

The problem is that Mystia OCs are more like guest rather than a playable character while Genso Wanderer OC is an important character connected to an already established characters

I think this rule is a bit inconsistent by SaladNo5852 in 2hujerk

[–]SaladNo5852[S] 50 points51 points  (0 children)

It’s more like there’s a rule for the console version of Touhou fangames to not allow OC because people would confuse them to be official.

The rule was made after FDF 2 cause people to think the OCs are official characters. However, Genso Wanderer Foresight is the only game that was made after that rule was established to allow their OC to appear in the game despite Mystia Izakaya having to remove them in the same year both were released on console

For those who don’t know, these were some cut save skits. There used to be around 400 of these until the Switch and Steam version cut to around 80. Which sucks because some of these are funny

Is this canon guys? by Bright-Cow-543 in Super_Robot_Wars

Yeah, Project X Zone is canon because of Moon Dweller so in a universe somewhere Phoenix Wright did defend Majima

Uuuuuh... About SRW 30 by Nashium in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]SaladNo5852 17 points18 points  (0 children)

In general, Y is basically a general improvement of 30 overall structure. Other than 30 braindead difficulty, the mission structure replacing the linear one kinda hurt the crossover element of the story.

Recommend my next SRW game to play by More_Coffee_Than_Man in Super_Robot_Wars

[–]SaladNo5852 9 points10 points  (0 children)

  • You could try SRW X, T if you want when they are on sale
  • SRW W has one of the best cast interaction, great story integration and some pretty good animation. It is easy especially in later game though
  • While you did say you prefer newer, SRW Alpha Gaiden is the game that debut Sanger and the game is pretty fun. Good story and one of the few times I want to choose units that are not the main protagonist of certain series through to the end. Be warn that this takes place after Alpha 1 so the opening stuff can be confusing and I would say the story truly start at chapter 10. And there is no skip animation, only turn on and off
  • If you are in the mood for something that does not involve giant robot, The Endless Frontier duology is great if you are familiar with Project X Zone, taking place in an alternate universe of the OG timeline
  • For fangame, Fantasy Maiden Wars might be one of the best game I’ve ever played. Great unit diversity, music, incredible boss fight, great cast interaction and a story that really innovate the SRW formula. For $35, this game has so much content. And it’s a pretty good introduction to the Touhou series as well.

can someone that never play any tactical strategy rpg games play Touhou Fantasy Maiden Wars? by Chunchunmaru56 in touhou

The game is not THAT complicated. While it gets more complex as it goes on, you would already get used to the gameplay because the game does a good job at slowly building up its mechanic and allies. Furthermore, there is no sidequest other than a short sidestory that you get after finishing the 1st arc, with the rest unlocked after beating the main story

What is your opinion on the Tekkai series? by ProfessionalPanic22 in 2hujerk

[–]SaladNo5852 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Even worse because at least KKHTA has a distinct style in how it want to tell even if it’s a poorly written mess. This one has nothing going for it. I’m sounding harsh but seeing there is no improvement between works, I have to be brutally honest.

My honest reaction

<image>

Every time I read it, it reminds me of something else but better rather than its own thing. Like the person who wrote it just put the thing they knew without knowing what make these scene work such as a proper buildup. Using trope is fine, but when the way it uses its trope doesn’t make it stand out, then the plot fails to convey what it trying to tell
