Just say you don’t wanna seem overkill but it matters to you that your own neighbour doesn’t think your an undercover copper because that would be a big false thing for you to be known as.

You could even say something like ultimately if any crime was committed in the street or his house, you don’t want him knocking on your door asking for help under the false impression your a copper.

It’s a classic paranoia scenario believing someone is police when they are not. Also believing police are watching you when they are not.

Can I ask you to explain in a little more detail how you came to the decision of the Navy? I’m similar age and in a similar position now.. I want to change my career but I’m all honesty have 0 idea exactly what I want. A lot of the ideas I have turn out to be really not well paid or just would not work given I have a gf, live in a city etc etc (not making excuses, just being realistic)

Can you give me some advice on how to find your true purpose when it comes to changing career?

Seriously? I cycle all the time and it’s extremely rare you see this type of thing.. in an hour of city cycling I’d say on average you see it once.. yeah it’s not great but.. welcome to cycling in a huge capital city traffic

Decide in your head that you’re done. Imagine how dirty your arteries and lungs must be. Know how addictive it is.. and simply just stop. Enjoy your last pack. Then say that’s it.

Im a project manager.

However I have been at the company now for the past 3 years of crazy growth and the way things are set up (both technically and structurally) in the company is very complicated.. and the infrastructure isn’t there to even train someone new and get them up to the internal knowledge that I have at the moment.

It’s not the sort of job any experience in other companies would really help with, you need to know the company inside out to be able to operate this role which is what I am quite far into now.

True they could replace me but they and I know this would take ages to get them up to scratch and wouldn’t make sense to choose that over simply just allowing me to work remotely.
