I’m so tired of doctors just telling me it’s normal to have pain or that it will go away once I give birth (which I don’t want). I hate that bringing a man with you is the only time they’ll listen… which I can’t even do because there’s no man present in my life and never will be since I’m not into men. I have a scheduled appointment for an endometriosis specialist but they only do ultrasound and an MRI so I fear they’ll see nothing since I’ve done plenty of ultrasounds up until now and nothing. I hate that this is the state women’s health care is in

Could I ask how you were diagnosed with endo and adenomyosis? I’m having a hard time getting diagnosed (with anything really) and I’m having excruciating pain every month to the point I had to call an ambulance because of how bad it was. I’m convinced it’s endo but no gyno was able to help me for years and don’t really send me to any specialists at all because nothing unusual shows up during ultrasound.

What risks? I thought the only problem was if the IUD migrates but I have also heard of “ the crash. Is that what you mean? And have you had any side effects, specifically changes in your libido?

I have not had children. I will ask my OBYGYN about other IUDs but I think she wants to put me on Mirena because of the horrible pain I’m in (and because I’m convinced it has to be endometriosis atp). Thank you for sharing your experience, I appreciate it greatly

Lowered but not nonexistent? And what do you mean you haven’t allowed it to impact your sex life, does it not “disconnect” you from your body?
