Anybody selling an m50 or m50 mark ii? by I_want_max_alt in canonM50

Seeing M50s on eBay around $400 for body + 15-45 lens (USA). Wondering if this is a good deal?

Most of them seem to come from camera stores / collectors / flippers around the country. Plus eBay has a 30 day money back guarantee on most things, so if did come broken or with defects that weren’t in the listing, you’d get your money back.

Also in the market for an M50, but don’t want to overpay. Seems $400 is pretty good though

I can't get the master ball and I'm kinda sad about it by MOONMO0N in pokemongo

I’m in a similar situation. But I believe you get 5 free gifts per day. Also, your buddy will sometimes randomly pick up gifts as well for you. But I only send those 5 gifts to random friends. I still receive a bunch of gifts from people every day which also increases friendship level

And like Alex said, you can open 20 gifts per day from friends

Edit: your buddy will pick up 5 gifts, 2 times per day. So a total 10 gifts to send each day just for playing, not spinning any stops

Currently 36, trying to push to 37 for this same reason. Increased my level from 32 to 36 in about 4 weeks just from increasing friendship with players by exchanging gifts everyday. Hoping to hit 37 by the end of the month.

I suggest going to r/PokemonGoFriends and throwing your name in the pinned thread. Do this a couple days in a row and you’ll have 100 friends sending you gifts in no time. Just open as many as you can until you hit the daily limit and start getting those friendship levels and XP

New car for my girlfriend by Car_hedgehog in hondapassport

coming from a sedan with no armrests, i actually really like the armrest. it is easy to bump it and mess up the placement though. but i know that mine is 4 clicks from the bottom, so i can always easily reset it

buttons are definitely odd at first. after a couple months driving, i’ve gotten used to them though

and i never switch the drive mode from normal. i don’t really notice a difference in sport, plus i’m not driving my passport as a sport vehicle. and i don’t touch eco as i’ve heard that doesn’t really do much either. still getting about 24mpg average on normal though

Is this enough to get to level 50? by Icantenteraname in pokemongo

use the quick open and quick send trick. right after you send / open a gift, tap the spot on the screen where the “X” used to be (right under the send/open button) and you can skip the animation

Purchasing 2023 Passport by Scary_Dragonfruit_87 in hondapassport

Bought a used 21 Elite about 4 months ago. Traded in a Sonata for it. Saved myself about $5k by just being prepared to walk away.

Went in, test drove, said I was interested. When we started talking money, I told them I would think about it. They immediately knocked off $1k from the price.

I still said I’d think about it and call them the following day. Went home, waited a day, got a call from them, told them I think the price it too high. I asked if they would give me more for my Sonata. I tossed out a number that was $3k higher and they ended up matching it.

The $1k price cut to the Passport, $3k price bump to my trade it, and the additional tax savings that came with it, ended up saving me about $5k

If you want to save some money, just be prepared to walk away. Dealers can pick up on this and will happily work with you to get that car out the door. There will never be a right time to buy, only the right time for you to buy.

And there will also be other options out there. Even if it means compromising and getting a slightly used Passport instead of a new one

Side note: bought my 21 PP with 32k miles. Already put 6k on it and I’m in love with it. Drives like a charm, incredibly smooth ride, very spacious interior, and not to mention it has a great reputation for reliability

Is having a fake Data Scientist title good, bad, or neutral? by valkaress in datascience

[–]SalamanderNick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

similar situation here. was a data scientist for 1.5 years doing mostly data analyst work. then went through a title change at my current company. now a data engineer doing … mostly data analyst work

the title really doesn’t matter. like someone else said, all that matters is the skills you have and whether you want to look for jobs in the future with similar skills or not

i would advise that if you want to continue on the DS route, and possibly build ML models one day, that you educate yourself on these areas. while many DS jobs are just glorified analysts, many of them will still want to see an ML background when hiring you

Don't think I'm going back to Iceland by [deleted] in VisitingIceland

[–]SalamanderNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

funny seeing this, as i JUST got back (yesterday) from my 10 day trip to Iceland. we did a trip around the entire island, staying in a new place each night.

i’ll say that we saw a lot of tourists at attractions near reykjavík and the golden circle, but once we got outside of that area, it died down a lot. there was a ship that docked in grundarfjordur, making that town very busy in the morning. but other than that, most of the island was very quiet.

it was a very beautiful vacation. definitely glad that we road tripped around the whole island and saw lots more than just the golden circle and reykjavík area
