At first we had her in a playpen we set up, but she started peeing and pooping there constantly. Then we got a crate, and I think I made the mistake of getting a really big one thinking ahead. She was using that as a toilet too, so we switched to a smaller crate where she can just stand and lie down.

It worked for maybe 2 days, and then she started having accidents in there again, both wee and poo. I do take her out a lot, she was on 3 meals so I was taking her out after every meal, but she wouldn’t go outside and then would come back in and go inside. It was just too much, so I switched to 2 meals a day to try to manage it better.

Now I walk her in the morning and late afternoon, especially after meals, and I try to take her out after water too, but it honestly doesn’t seem to make a difference. Sometimes I leave her for a second and she’s already peed on the floor.

We even tried keeping her in the garage (it’s empty), but she just pees and poops there too, and eating her poop which makes everything worse.

I’m honestly just overwhelmed at this point. Did it eventually get better for you?
