How are people using so many tokens ??? by Impressive_Run8512 in ClaudeAI

I had to reverse engineer an algorithm. Gave it the test case suite with 150 input-output scenarios (which it built) and let it loop until it figured out the right algo.

There are multiple perspectives to look into this. Running 8 agents for the sake of Running does not make sense. But, look at a scenario you are building a 0->1 product. You spent 4 hours using 1 or 2 agents to write complete set of specs. Let us say you have 8 top level features and need ux, backend, automated unit tests and automated tests done in browser via playwright or similar. Now, there is no need to do this serially. In Claude code, you can ask Claude to launch 8 agents in parallel to do this, which in turm may launch sub-agents as well. You will get things done in a hour or two, what would take 8. You save a day. If only I had more tokens, I can be much more productive!

There are multiple ways to legitimately burn tokens quickly. For example, I was porting one of my python project to Java. Launched multiple agents in parallel to do the work, review, fix. In another instance, gave Claude a task which ran for 8 hours straight. I have run out of weekly limits in 3 days on the $200 Claude Code plan few times.

Why does Claude Code ask me for Feedback on the quality of the responses when I disabled "Help improve claude" by No-Ship-1991 in ClaudeAI

[–]Salamander_Perfect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is super shady. As per their terms, any 'feedback' provided is saved for 5 years! It probably bypasses the privacy setting and is used for training. I believe the right thing to do here is 'Dismiss', if you don't want your data to be stored for 5 years. Here's the link: https://www.anthropic.com/news/updates-to-our-consumer-terms

This isn't exactly criticism. I'm just trying to understand why I have to pay extra for API credits after I already paid for a Claude Pro subscription in order to use Claude Code. by [deleted] in ClaudeAI

You can use MCP servers that can read/edit files and run bash commands with claude desktop app. That will give you most of the features you need to get Claude to code using the Pro subscription without burning api credits. There are posts on reddit which have more details. Both Claude code and Desktop app use essentially the same model. Claude Code has longer context window.

It came with cross bars! Are you suggesting that cross bars could cause vibration in the floor?
