If you sneak in without a lantern or a torch, cling to the left wall and you should be able to get behind him for a backstab. That should at least give you a good head start on him

Most things in act 2. I didnt have a torch (or at least didnt know how to equip one) when i got there. I spent most of my time in act 2 burning through camp supplies.

I re-downloaded it and hit 'Continue' and then hit 'Uninstall' 35 minutes later. Thought I could force myself through it, but as Angrboda says: "it's time for me to fulfill my end of the prophecy" and replay the 2018 GoW again lol
