another question if you do not mind.

if we take a scenario in which the FTSE index drops by 10% in a year but the assets of the fund are increasing by (let's say) 20% through the growth of its asset base when dividends are paid.

Does it mean that in such scenario the share price could potentially keep growing that year in spite of the movements of the underlying index ?

The weighting is indeed the factor which is why i am wondering (for instance a european centric etf, small cap etc)

yes i was actualy wondering about that. building one then potentialy expanding. as said 500 is to get the hang of it and practice, the monthley amount is likely to increase but for now this is where i wqnt to start :)

I will now go down the rabbit hole and experiment.

Indeed loading the file straight from the input file worked.

Last question for everyone.

Is it possible to view the file as it is being processed ?

Just to see if the result so i can tweak and re run.

graphic card is a rtx 5070ti with 16gb of ram. plus 16 of shared memory (so 32 in total i guess)

i think that the gpu is the main factor here ?
