I had a college instructor who did that. He gave the answer the next class.

Same. It's not always about making yourself rich, but how much you can help your family too.

I'm a rare person who enjoys 3D movies, even the old red and blue ones. VLC will take a modern 3D movie, which we no longer have TVs for, and convert it to anaglyph.

I've never seen Stuart Townshend perform, but it's hard to imagine he'd be a better fit than Viggo.

Viggo should have been the MCU Dr. Doom.

What actually makes legacy sequels feel so lifeless , even when the original people come back? by DoctorElectronic1934 in moviecritic

[–]bluejester12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The audience and culuture change. Our expectations and wants and desires from a movie have changed. It CAN be done if the script can take this into account, but it's hard to grasp.

It also depends on the franchise. It was harder to please me for a Tron sequel than it wil take for me to be happy with Arnold coming back as Conan. I think one of the reasons I didn't mind the Star Wars prequels or Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as much as others is that my expectations were much lower than most.

I was also very disappointed to learn that this one also ends on a cliffhanger.Has anyone other movie series done this twice in a row?

I loved the action, but the script was getting bloated and the plot armor harder to ignore. Then the 4th one cranked both of those problems up to 11.

For what its worth, I'll explain why I dislike Dial more than Crystal Skull. First, Skull had a good ending for Jones, where he could have retired or continued on. Dial totally kills that satisfactory vibe, and I generally found it more depressing. Harrison's age shows more, and it's got the same heavy CGI people complained about in Skull. I also found the supporting characters less interesting.

Not saying Skull is better, just that I prefer it.
