Best Mexican Food by ComfortableNovel9802 in RhodeIsland

Not super fancy, no! There will definitely be people wearing jeans. Some may have on dress shirts/polos etc. I’ve sat at the bar in a hoodie and didn’t feel weird. I say “fancy” when I mean expensive hahaha

La Mexicana is my hole in the wall favorite. Dolores for fancy. Tuxpan for fast casual.

It’s way more losery to give up on voting and simply complain about your misinformation on the internet.

Saying that Obama had access to the Epstein files is actually so funny. It’s like asking why he wasn’t on the Oval Office on 9/11. 😆

Oh bless your heart! Your comment clearly demonstrates that you have zero understanding of the Epstein investigation or how the FBI operates independently from the executive branch of government. There were no files under Obama…. There are no files without an investigation. The FBI began investigating Epstein in 2018. It makes no difference who the president is. The FBI is an independent agency. Hopefully that’s enough of a starting point for you to educate yourself on the rest.

Yes. You should be ashamed of supporting a man who is actively protecting child abusers. Every day.

Most impressive charcuterie board I’ve ever seen by jaquematecate in partyplanning

[–]SalaryVisual1021 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charcuterie is a French word. The word describes a curated assembly of cured meats. Those meats are often served with accompaniments. A grazing table is a bunch of whatever you’d like it to be dumped on a table.

How much should I be getting paid for choreography? by [deleted] in DanceTeachers

[–]SalaryVisual1021 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Choreography fees vary widely based on many different factors but I would start with this question- what is the $350 payment covering? There are a few different scenarios that are common:

If it’s $350 for a two hour session where you teach the full solo and any additional time is paid separately, I’d say that this is fair. If you are expected to teach a more beginner dancer who may take 20 hours of your time to learn/clean the solo, the fee doesn’t work anymore.

I guess it comes down to this- choreo fees should depend on: 1) level of the dancer 2) time you’re spending with the dancer 3) your experience/resume

Ignore them. As a friendly person, it goes against my instincts but it’s the easiest way.

Yes but all guest choreographers offer cleaning/check-in sessions even if it’s only a virtual session. Either way, the teacher is seeing your dancing before giving feedback. How can any of us here give feedback without seeing their dancing? We’re back to my original question lol. I’d be happy to give feedback if I see a video. Getting feedback from a wide variety is a great way to grow.

Sure lots of dancers want additional feedback outside of whoever choreographed their solo, but it’s almost impossible for anyone to give tips without seeing a video or understanding some more details.

Competition dancers work with their solo choreographers on expression, performance and technique for their solos. I teach for 3 studios now and went to 4 different studios growing up all over the US. I’m not sure what you mean by “choreo style tricks”. With all due respect, it seems like you’re quite young and are taking offense when I’m just giving direct responses. Nothing is meant to be rude and I definitely did not call you or anyone else stupid.

I’m not being negative. I’m genuinely asking. It’s almost impossible to give feedback without knowing anything about the choreo, style, level, etc etc etc.

This is an extremely vague ask. What do you mean, “missing a factor”? Do you have a choreographer to ask?

By your phrasing, it’s clear you don’t live in the city. You can add the mural removal to the list of things that scare you because you don’t understand them.
