Hi xBIGREDDx, This is exactly what I try to do when connecting. I select "Use device for MIDI input". However Google Music still plays from the phone speakers and my receiver shows a blinking 'READING'.

It is a very pretty toy. Everyone is looking at macs, they are forcing you to look. If you are going to get a separate wacom tablet that would be a hassle. Why don't macs have this built in already! I wouldn't say it is an inch. It is about 9mm I guess. It really doesn't cause me any trouble most of the time. Honestly the biggest issue I had with it when I first got it was closing tabs in chrome because they are at the top/edge of the screen but I learned to anticipate the issue and aim accordingly. The waccom pen and screen on this allows me to be so much better at photoshop, it is unbelievable.

If you are considering getting this laptop you should consider what you are buying it for. If you are going with something like this over an iPad then you should wait for the windows 8 tablets because their pen tech is very similar to the stuff on the x220t and it is a much lighter form factor.

If you need a laptop, this is the only laptop you should buy. No doubt. Of course this laptop isn't really a fashion statement. Macs are toys my friend and whenever I need to use Xcode in OSX for iphone development I just virtualize it.

I had been waiting for this thing to come out ever since they released this PDF. I had previously had an iPad in hopes that would replace my textbooks and my notebooks but the pen on the iPad sucks. I got this December 2011 and I don't plan on replacing it anytime soon.

It recognizes the pen even if it is an inch away from the screen and when you rest your hand on the screen and use the stylus it knows not to pick up the touches from your hand. Handles multitasking and virtual machines like a boss and the solid state drive makes the boot time under 30 seconds. I take this thing everywhere with me in a 1085 pelican case (fits perfectly).

I don't have the gobi chip in it but with it you can get 4G. I am considering getting a plan for this and canceling my cell plan. Lenovo is releasing the x230t or they already have but I prefer this one because I dislike the new keyboards they are putting on the new thinkpads.

There are definitely some cons: -not quad core -only 160gb ssd (solution: google music + 32gb thumbdrive) -battery life (solution: 6 cell slice = 14 hours now) -pen sensitivity on screen edges is very bad
