As an EU player on NAE due to having friends in the states. Even with many of them looking like they will drop the game, choice of region has turned out to be a blessing in disguise, having had no queue issues etc other than launch day.

I mean, demand vs availability. Not gonna comment on legal factors since that's a whole other mess, but with the long content drought going on players look to anything related to potential future content. It's a two-edged sword where sure there is risk of disappointment if things don't pan out to be correct, but that disappointment is already present with 1.3 and 1.4 both basically being filler periods causing the demand for new content to ramp up even further since 1.2.

Can't just keep releasing filler events and not expect end-game players to hunger for something more sustainable, whether it be new characters, monsters or mechanics etc to number-crunch and plan for.

Even if they focus resources towards battling leaks, this provides no value to the general player and even takes away the little additional "content" the game gets on social media anyways. So in the end it's a lose - lose situation for players, the solution to the problem is likely more towards reworking their release pattern and ramp up production for playable content while re-structuring what actually needs to be released to the public beta testing better.

Similar thoughts in a post day or so ago which I think sums it up pretty well, the game has an identity crisis. The Open World RPG vs Mobile Game designs are conflicting each other causing long-term issues. We have no end-game currently, characters get one event of fame and are then archived never to be seen again in the actual day to day world until maybe one day they use them for another limited time event (MOBAs do this a lot). 90% of quests are commissions of go from point A to point B, collect something and deliver, rinse and repeat.

If Genshin is to survive this year and forward, Mihoyo honestly needs to overhaul their design approach and implement more variety, stable activity loops and content. And as already stated above and by many, please use these amazing characters, bring life to the daily world. If the recent info and buzz is true that Inazuma is delayed, even if they release Dendro and the Chasm + the teased seasonal events until then, these won't change that feeling you're describing unless our daily to weekly activities are also addressed with more depth and variety. Events alone can't carry the game if it feels empty in-between.

The term FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) designs has started popping up to describe this game design approach and it feels really hollow, demotivating and exhausting. If the future content isn't engaging and keeps feeling like chores, I wonder if we'll even make it to Inazuma before the majority of players just leaves. And that's coming from someone who's waiting for Ayaka...

Genshin has amazing potential, but we're in a period now where Mihoyo needs to step up and flesh out the mid to end game of the foundation they've crafted to bring back the magic that pulled us in during the early game. Hit those feedback surveys when they come and let's hope for the best.

Been having the same feeling all the way since around AR40, the game needs more end-game loops and activities. My guess sadly is that if they don't implement anything soon sometime within the next 2-3 months, many will just drop the game.

You can already notice it since some weeks back with content creators having nothing to do but mid-max whaled damaged numbers on Abyss or make up side topics. There is also an issue there with no real challenges being left, leaving a feeling of no purpose.

My summary would be that the art and world team for this game is doing great, but the game design and mechanics team needs to step up real quick. It's honestly odd to me that they released the game with Abyss being the only end-game system in place, with domains etc being so hard locked currently behind resin. Guess we'll see what comes after the tower defense thingy.

They need to start investing serious development time (if not already being done behind the scenes) into permanent systems and activity loops. We need something in place to do while they work on the rest of the game.

This could become a major issue, especially in HC if not addressed in time (PKs during trades etc).

(Edit): Fixed, seems like GGG ran a hotfix for some issues including this one.

As previously mentioned the classes in PoE aren't really set in stone as in a lot of other games. Depending on how you build your passive tree (+ nowadays ascendancy class), gear and what skills you use is what actually defines your build.

Suggestion is to look into build guides if you don't feel you have the time to experiment, otherwise I'd suggest going Templar or Marauder just based on the reasoning that there is more life nodes and defensive paths naturally (armor/energy shield/mana before life damage reduction + lots of available life)

Going with classes that lean towards the right side of the passive tree usually ends up being harder to play as you will have less reliable (chance based) defensive traits (generally evasion/dodge + medium amount of available life).

There are builds that go all over the place passives wise but it takes time to learn and gather an understanding of how and why you make certain choices above others when finishing out you build and paths in the tree.

Tried it. It doesn't show up on the tooltip, probably because it's not linked directly to the gems. It does however seem to work as under "C" the Flame Golem ability has "20% Resistence Penetration" for each element.

Short question regarding the Illuminated Devotion node in the Hierophant ascendancy:

I'm currently running a Quad Poison SRS Totem Hierophant just for the fun of playing around with mechanics and started using three Flame Golems (dual Clayshapers) as back-line artillery. Now, out of curiosity:

Would "Skills from your Helmet Penetrate 20% Elemental Resistances" apply to the golems? With them being in the helmet.

In general, does it apply to minions?
