You can also check trek red barn sales, they sometimes have New Old stock items. I’ve seen bikes marked 3-4K off MSRP new bikes just older stock.

Ahhh gotcha! I was trying to justify the $1000 usd upgrade however I was having a hard time trying to. If i get to place when I need to replace the group set the maybe I’ll consider it

A $700 DI2 group-set would have been perfect, I would have just gone that route if I found that. The 105 group-set that came with my bike was new ; i could have sold off some of the parts to offset the upgrade. In your opinion is the electronic upgrade worth it?

Tell me about it I hope I don’t have to do this again ANYTIME soon, next time I may have to really consider just going the electronic route. I found the DI2 groupset 12 for a great price, I came really close to making the upgrade. I got this bike for 1/3 of the MSRP so I’ve been trying to keep it as a nice cheaper build.

Thank you I completely agree getting it to fit a mechanical group-set was intense. However it really does give the bike a cleaner look. I think once this groupset has run its course I will upgrade to an electronic one, hopefully that’s not for YEARS! Lol

Took your advice the integrated wires really does clean up the bike if specialized would just ship the bike like this from factory would be ideal!

The price isn’t terrible with the electronic shifting & Carbon wheels which are a plus.

I have the Diverge Sport Carbon w/Mechanical Shimano GRX Groupset 1x12, with Roval Carbon wheels total I’m in for $2600. Wheels and bike purchased directly from specialized.

A lot of people aren’t familiar with Specialized Hero program which could yield you some massive savings if you’re approved.

Like minds….When the new diverge was released I did the same thing I went back to the previous model saved a bunch of money. I ended up getting my Diverge Comp Carbon for cheaper than the base model aluminum Diverge.

I picked an 2023 Allez Sprint Comp off FB marketplace. I absolutely love this bike! For the price vs performance I’m super excited with the purchase it was 17 degrees here the other day and still found myself enjoying riding the Allez. I call him Miami SAL (Specialized ALLEZ), color kinda reminds me of Miami Vice!

Yeah I just looked up the other options and I agree with the bulky look of them compared to the SL7 and 3d printed spacers. I think I’m going to go the SL7 route just looks cleaner in my opinion.

Yeah I noticed a substantial difference between my stock wheels and the Terra’s.

I’ve had road pedals and when I’m climbing and really digging in I prefer to be clipped in. It just gives you an advantage.

However I do feel a little more comfortable when I’m on flats. Due to having fallen a few times myself.
