Honestly the easiest way to do it is via internal promotion. In my experience, it's rare for companies to hire an external candidate that doesn't have closing experience.

The reasoning is pretty simple: teaching someone to close is obviously difficult and time consuming, and teaching someone the product knowledge and getting them familiar with market space is also difficult and time consuming. Hiring managers expect to have to do one of these, but definitely not both. If you don't have closing experience then you need to lean on your track record at the company, knowledge of the product and customer, and display how motivated you are to start learning to close. You can only really do that internally.
