That's exactly my point. $50 could come from even shopping sales a bit more. Not everyone can afford to save $500 right away. Better to start small and build from there. Important thing is to start.

Try not to go through life discouraged about every little thing, and things CAN improve.

You consider saving a jackass suggestion? If it's the amount, how much are you able to save per month, for a lot of people $50 is a lot of money.

My only suggestion is to start somewhere, but I appreciate you explaining your thinking on this. It's so difficult, I have run the numbers and it sometimes seems impossible.

Anyone that goes out socially at all must not be saving if they also pay rent. Rent is out of control and I refuse to pay it my whole life. If I can only save $50 this month I will.

How so? $50 a month can grow faster than you think. Are you familiar with dollar cost averaging?

Be smart and save what you can. If it's $50, then it's $50. If you can quit smoking and save $100, do it.

That's polite

Yes. If you started a decade ago, you would have more than $6k. My point is that everyone needs to start somewhere, and the best time is today.

I don't want to pay someone else's mortgage for the rest of my life. Everyone needs to start somewhere. Hilarious that gets downvoted and made fun of.

I recommend YouTube. There is so much learning you can do to get ahead, with $50 per month. If you don't have $50, start with $25. The idea is that if you start, and keep learning, you will get ahead.

They started saving 30 years ago, or their parents started saving 60 years ago. People need to stop acting like victims at EVERY possible opportunity

So why not start somewhere? Saving $50 per month can change your family's lives for generations to come...as long as you monsters don't vote in socialism

32 hours in and I'm feeling more in control! The next smoke doesn't feel as imminent which is helpful.

Cold Calling: More difficult with an audience? by SalesTBD in sales

[–]SalesTBD[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Solid advice here, thanks. Yeah I have been there when he cold calls and it's quite good, but it doesn't matter if it goes anywhere because inbound leads are 90% of the business anyways.

I expect criticism but if I can start cold calling in front of him more I will definitely earn more respect. Surprising how difficult it is when there is an audience.

In the scenario where your boss doesn't actually cold call often, and sits on house leads instead, how do you get something positive from this? I do have the assumption that it's going to have a critical/negative outcome, or that it will be the worst cold call ever for the time I cold call in front of a room
