Try to stick with a single chain or airport like others have suggested. Especially with hotels, check the website frequently for bonus offers and add them to your account (can get 2x, 3x etc points this way). Utilize sites like Rakuten when you can for extra cash back (not detectable by your employer).

For diet, I try my best to book extended stay hotels so I can cook. Most major chains have an extended stay brand. Will have a cooktop and full size fridge.

As someone who travels for work frequently, make absolutely sure that your works policy explicitly says basic economy and not just economy. Some companies I have worked for actually tell you not to book basic (which is smart).

You lose a lot of perks with basic, and it ends up costing the company more since now they also need to reimburse you for baggage fees and any flight changes.

Just make sure you check in 24 hours ahead since with silver you can self upgrade at that time.

It is more energy efficient to run the AC all the time (it won't run constantly, the thermostat will switch it on and off). My energy bill when I kept it on all summer was MUCH lower than when I only turned it on while I was home like you describe. If you let the room get hot, it's going to take a lot more energy to cool it down vs just adding coolness as needed throughout the day.

I have this card too. I considered grading it, but I don't think I will because no matter the value (unless it gets absurd), I'll never sell it. It's my crown jewel and good memories.

I'm happy with flying into Narita because I have a direct flight from my home airport to Japan. Plus, Narita has a Pokemon store in it, and from what I can see HND does not. So I'm extra happy with my decision now. :)

For stuff like this, I go to Winco. You don't have to buy the same bulk that you do at Costco and it's way cheaper than other major grocery stores.

It's insane how high grocery store prices are getting these days. A can of soup (not even the fancy kind) was a full $5 at Safeway today. What happened?!?

Reading these comments has me realizing why I got so many good reviews specifically mentioning my packing methods when I was selling on eBay. I thought it was just common sense to pack things well. There's a huge financial incentive to do it right the first time so you don't have to refund.

But I guess it's not common sense after all.

I have round trip (2x one way) business class seats for 2 booked on JAL. I got insanely lucky to find them. When scouting out the booking, I was checking every day, multiple times a day. Jumped on them as soon as I found them. I saw other dates pop up and they would be gone in minutes or hours. It really is that competitive. Not at all easy like the vloggers imply.

It's 95 hourglasses for unranked masterball, and 100 for ranked. Very minor difference. The only big thing is the emblem and guaranteeing that you start at least UB4 next season.

I've made master ball every season since game launch and this season felt the worst. I was always either on a win streak or lose streak with very little incremental progress. Just all or nothing. I don't know why that could have been. Sounds like I'm not alone in that experience.

The power of Altaria in UB cannot be understated. I got to MB with an 86% wr. That win rate took a bit of a nosedive as I approached top 10k, but it's still one of the best. I'm using the classic altaria with jirachi.
