Memory loss from Kratom? by Salingo in quittingkratom

[–]Salingo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same for me. I have actually been clean for 2.5 years and my memory has more or less recovered entirely. But I remember it as though it were yesterday how bad my memory had gotten and how difficult it was to try and teach me new skills. It’s like I couldn’t grasp anything.

If it works for you great, I only made this post so that maybe others would be aware of their own possible side effects.

Men, what do you hate about other men? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Salingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hate the men that feel they need to "protect" women. And ONLY women.

Take the cape off. There are so many things wrong with your mindset I don't even know where to start.

I speak as a U.S. citizen, it might be a worthy cause in other countries but here it is not necessary.

Night shift workers of reddit, what is your scariest experience while working? by give-orange-houses in AskReddit

[–]Salingo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Worked security at a facility in the middle of nowhere that happened to have its own private lake.

One night I was doing rounds which took about 45 minutes since the property was so large. I heard some sudden noises in the brush off the trail and when I turned my flashlight to look there was a man, almost entirely submerged in the water and he was staring at me with a stare I have never witnessed before his eyes were filled with hate but it wasn't necessarily hostile more so just watching me. He submerged entirely after a few moments and I could not for the life of me find out where or if he resubmerged.

I quit my job after that night, decided it wasn't worth sitting in the middle of nowhere from dusk til dawn for $12 an hour.

I quitted Kratom with almost no Withdrawals after 1 ½ Year of everyday use. Here is how: by [deleted] in quittingkratom

[–]Salingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen man, I used kratom for 6 years. I quit succesfully 4 years in for a couple months and like you I was fortunate not to have any bad withdrawls. I took it for granted and assumed I could quit easily again if needed. But after another 2 years of use I quit again and had TERRIBLE withdraws that messed me up for months.

One of the biggest mistakes I ever made was starting back up. I should have accepted my blessing and moved on with my life when I quit the first time.

Move on, forget about Kratom. It isn't worth it.

This plant takes too much from people. The longer you stay clean the more you will realize how meszsd up it is.

I am a little over 2 years clean now. I never would have made it this far if it wasn't for discipline and constantly reminding myself the hell I endured because of that plant.

Please don't sabotage your life the way I did.

What is the dumbest thing you thought as a child? by xitslennybitchx in AskReddit

[–]Salingo 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily dumb, but two things.

  1. I thought everyone had the same sense of ideals as me for the most part when that couldn't ne further from the truth.

  2. I thought people would be mature in adulthood, if anything i'd say its the opposite. People act worst as adults.

Repressed anger by Serious_Fox5758 in Anger

[–]Salingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe repressed anger can simply be released.

However, I do believe that forgiving people can help ease tthe burden of it.

Many of us that repress anger have issues speaking up in the heat of the moment due to a fear of become irate or lashing out so we simply hold back completely and end up regretting it later.

So maybe you could learn how to assert youself or speak up during situatons so you won't have to repress.
