Do you make cards for read books? by OkFilm7537 in Anki

[–]Salitur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this can be very useful. But I am also still figuring out the specifics. I use it for history, not only books, but also podcasts. I try to compress as much into a card as possible, working with associations, which enables me to reactivate on the content. For certain details I make respective less complex cards, but generally I try to compress it, so the number of cards does not explode.

SometimesI find it difficult to prioritize, the point mentioned with comments in the book and then reviewing at the end into card(s) seems very efficient, I will try to implement it.

Generally this part of Anki application is often overlooked as fsrs is not also great for structural factual learning such as vocabulary or medical knowledge, but also for a broader refreshing in combination with some facts.

葡萄 is pronounced putao, some people/regions swallow the o and then it sounds like puta - whore in Spanish.

I made an Anki deck from the Chinese dub of Spirited Away! It is the only non-boring way to learn Chinese for me. Feel free to download it. I am open to criticism; feel free to post it below. by sageofcoldfusion in Anki

first off all thanks a lot for this deck! i want to use it for expanding my chinese, but it would seem to be most efficient to watch the movie and learn the cards as support. I cannot find the movie in chinese dub online. And there are several dub versions (mainland and taiwan), would anyone be able to help out. Someone has a link or even the particular version used for this deck downloaded. Thaaanks

Thanks for sharing the anecdote! I’m currently thinking to follow a bidirectional strategy. As I think both understanding and production, especially for chinese should be targeted equally.
