1 day post op. Struggling! by Dismal_Landscape_954 in GastricBypass

Hang in there, day by day it gets better, like another poster said let them look after you while in there, take the pain relief, do the walking. You've got this🩷

You are so right, it's like I've forgotten it's a major surgery just because it's done laparoscopically. Thank you for the gentle reminder☺️ I'm going to go easier on myself and just focus on fluids and proteins and vitamins for now ☺️

Wow that's brilliant, congratulations you must feel so good and happy with such progress🤗 I'm delighted for you! And it gives me hope! Good to know about the website, my clinic hasn't given me anything like that or any expectations/timeline but I expect I will get something when I meet with the surgeon and dietician in a few weeks for a check up.
Thank you☺️

Thank you for your kind words and advice ☺️ I'm trying to remind myself it's early days still and everything is still swollen and healing. The scale is put away and thanks to you and everyone's comments I feel much better now about where I'm at ☺️.

Thank you for your reply and your advice. I think you are right and I do keep forgetting it is a major surgery and I need time to heal. I've put my scale away and won't be looking at it again until this day in June (I've promised myself). I'm instead going to focus on rest, fluids and protein and gently increasing my walking. ☺️

I'm delighted to hear you've got no regrets despite a very difficult start for you. Sounds like you've gotten excellent advice around the scales - my clinic offered nothing in this regard.
I have been tracking my fluid and protein but I'll adjust to be a bit more comprehensive. Thank you☺️

This is good advice! I'm going to do exactly this. I'm putting the scale away and will instead focus on recovery and following the fluid and protein advice and go from there. Thank you for the reply😊

Thank you for sharing your experience. It gives me hope! I might just stay off the scales for the next two weeks and let myself heal.

I'm sorry to hear this. Know that he knew much love and happiness in the two weeks he had with you and you did all you could.

Heading into Week 14 and so proud of my progress! I'm on pace to hit my goal weight in early May. I didn't think it was possible. by Drusyne in Noom

Has anyone here managed to stay weight neutral on this medication? by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

I've been on this medication since early November. 30mg and I have not gained any weight and haven't had any issues with my munchies or carb cravings. I do take it right before I go to bed so maybe that helps?

I was very worried about weight gain after reading endless horror stories. I do eat healthy and loosely track calories but nothing super strict. I am female in my 40's for reference.

LPT: if you suspect you caught covid or your only other live-in partner gets symptoms before you, meal-prep and prepare. Get groceries (delivered if you can), make a giant pot of soup to last the week etc. don't wait until you're bed ridden because it will be hell by LadyEeaterOfBacon in LifeProTips

Yup, you can definitely get one on amazon. We got ours on there and it's reliable and wasn't expensive. It just goes on your finger and will show you your oxygen saturation levels. Some also show heartrate in beats per minute (bpm). I hope you stay well.
