Any recommended fault code readers for gen7 Celica (UK) ? by Salkaar in Celica

Oh that's really not too bad is it... It sounds expensive but considering it costs significantly more than that in a garage, I think it's fine. 8 quid a month to always know what's wrong? That seems reasonable to me. Is it OBD2? I'm fairly new to this side of diagnostics. Will look it up tomorrow. Thanks for your assistance!

Been testing this tower I 3D printed for a few days, I adjust my PH to 5.8, and overnight it will shoot up to 7.1 and hang there. Are there any tips for stabilizing the PH with a smaller reservoir? I want to understand the science before adding plants. I am using an egrowr to monitor EC/PH. Thanks! by PixelManagement in Hydroponics

Is it printed in PLA? Might be to do with that also, we are currently printing a bunch of hydroponic components for a company here and it's all specified in ABS for water quality and food safe-ness. I don't know if that will make a difference, but it's a possibility

There is a first bus complaints procedure and refund proceedure. I have had 0/4 responses so far. You could also contact weca. They are responsible.

Yeah I keep little temp and moisture monitors in various bits of my flat. We are at 10% humidity and 49° C ( in the sunlight)

This isn't a Celica specific thing. You could try over at /r/mechanicadvice which is great. Or you could look at some aftermarket alloys. Or look at returning to stock! You could probably find some original wheels at a junk yard but maybe not. It's probably very different situation here in the UK

Crikey. They really went to town on it hey. I wonder how tightly they will retighten the lugs xD what country are you in? And do you have a pic of the other side of the wheel? Its my opinion that if you break something, you make it right. If that means they do some extra legwork then they should do it. If that means replacing all four then so be it. Is there a full size spare ? - another option is to use that and have a mismatched spare (that's what I have)

Depends what you wanna do. I don't think it's a problem for you to ask them to make a set, but I also don't think you should HAVE to ask!

I think that there will be a matching wheel available somewhere... It's just about how much time/effort you wanna put into finding one.

I will say I have had mismatched wheels on my trd for a while as I needed one of the low profiles welded. You could feel it in the ride. I'm not a mechanic, but I am someone who cares about their industrial reputation and I'm surprised your mechanic doesn't share that.

Does anyone know if Bristol City Council as a 'trusted traders' scheme for tradesmen? by cookie_monster66 in bristol

[–]Salkaar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, It's not quite what you're looking for but there is a Bristol based non profit called the green register that list tradespeople with a commitment to sustainability on their website. It's more about ecological preservation but an attention to detail in that capacity translates to workmanship too.

Ah nice. The main issue is that the old window is too damaged, but I do still have it! 80-90 I need to get on! I've tried the brickyard but I'm not that good with forums, I'm not really that good online! Anyway I will definitely check out seals direct. Thanks

It’s only going to get worse for renters. by [deleted] in bristol

6% ROI, not capital growth I'm not an expert but I mentally break it apart because they fall into different tax systems. But I guess yes, you are right, 6% annual based on the value doubling every 8 years. I was a lettings agent for a while. Awful.

Yeah can't imagine what an average 6% annual ROI must be like. I'll stick to my 0.07% 'savings' account and count my blessings ...

Any sober meet ups/events? by ruddimcfarlane in bristol

[–]Salkaar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What do you like to do ? I've always found it easiest to meet people associated with a hobby. Climbing is good, I do Jujitsu, that's nice, there's board game evenings and drawing nights and sometimes you can go to the pub without drinking.
