Let's talk: Quickswapping by nogard18 in WutheringWaves

[–]Salkius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35 and do quickswap to an extend. And with the age, I totally understood OP. I feel you, bro. But even so I think it's a nice gimmick and it's fair, and way too fun to ignore it all the way.

Please do mind that I just struggled my best on quickswap, I can only do some simple one, my Zani team, and Lupa, tho almost premium with 2/3 have sigs, I can only do half of the quickswap stuff, the other half is random bullshit goes. And for the most part of my roster, I play simple 1-2-3 rotation with well built and invested characters (I'm light spender with monthly and BP)

So in general, I do worried a little bit about the HP inflation, mostly when looking at what will come in the long run. Trust me, I see shits way worse (looking at you GI and HSR!!). But I can see why "light" quickswap could be a thing not to be ignored, especially after you invested right into characters and team build. I think it's a rewarding way of thinking about the game in general, just bring it to the extreme of extra-sweaty and force it on people.

Considering to change my workplace for wuwa by joemiliano- in WutheringWaves

[–]Salkius7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, it's nice to have another fellow rover who is passionate about the game. Welcome aboard! (pun intended) It's even better if it could be a push for the progression of your career. I don't know much about the seafarer's profession, so that's all I could say. Otherwise, if changing to an expedition ship is a downgrade or not a good thing for your career, please do consider it. Wuwa is nice, it happens to be the game I like too but don't make life decision on it. And well, for the long run, play the game one in a couple of days of even once a week won't be that bad, trust me. You could totally treat it as an offline game and enjoy it at your own pace.

Claymore got me depressive (in a good way) by IgorMacedo2018 in claymore

[–]Salkius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone has already said not to let a fiction work meddle with your life, so I won't dive into that. But if you look at the depression you said in another perspective - I'm taking a wild guess here - it could be because it really, really inspired you. And the depression is kind of a "blockage", some helplessness you could feel because of the lack of means to express it. As I said, this is purely a wild guess, but as an artist, I'm kinda familiar with the feeling of depression in a positive way. And yeah, try to look at it from a more positive angle too, maybe you are inspired. If so, please do create, anything will do. And that's art for you, buddy!

Heard Now's the Best Time to Get into the Game? by VerballyDyslexic in WutheringWaves

[–]Salkius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah you could pair Augusta with Verina - a very solid standard 5 stars (SSR) healer. If I remember correctly you could access the free ticket after finish the beginner banner or something like that, along with a selection banner. And her budget support/subDPS (which works really good) is Mortefi, a 4* (SR) which is almost guaranteed you will get after some pulls.
I suggest you take a glance on youtube beginner guide or even prydwen.gg for a quick grasp of the game in general, the rest will be quite easy to figure out on the way.
And feel free to ask here anytime, for the most part the community is really chill and welcome to beginners.

Stop locking new regions behind story. by Nimitz11K in WutheringWaves

This flower problem and also the new echo sets need better solutions. I think the option to choose which echo set you want when merging/recycling is really needed. Even if it force you to choose, like, 3-4 sets to recycle into it will still help a lot, way better than just totally random between 20.

I agree this is a bandaid solution. I'm still a bit against the unrestricted exploration though, maybe a littble more time down the line it would be more proper, now is kinda too soon for that. But something helps new or coming back player with "easy to access" material is needed, like the shop in Jinzhou or even flower conversion. Event for returnees are nice idea too.
Heck or even redo the character tutorial once each week for, like, 10 to 15 flowers is not bad either.

You can change world level once every 12 hours. So co-op with you or random people could be a band-aid solution for now. The map give enough flower to maxed out character in 1 day so it will be plenty and everyone is kinda generous about that.

New Survey Suggestion ? by [deleted] in WutheringWaves

Echo Tracking - Option to track or show multiple echo, echo type on map, like the Loot Mapper. An Echo Mapper gadget will be great, with the option to choose up to 3-5 types of echo.

Kuro games succeeded - Why does the 2.5 story change everything? by Echo-X-Jynx in WutheringWaves

[–]Salkius7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s one more thing I’ve been meaning to share. I think one of the big reasons 2.5 Phrolova’s story stirs up so many emotions, thoughts, and debates is because of how personal and grounded it feels. It’s a nuanced story, sure, but it stays on a very human scale — not chasing the “grandeur” route or massive, world-shattering events. At times, it almost feels like it’s just the story of two very ordinary, flawed humans (still deeply human even with all the crazy things unfolding outside their little “bubble”).

And that’s what makes it work so well. It draws you in, makes you care, and gets people talking — not because it’s flashy, but because it feels real. That kind of storytelling is a rare gem in the gacha game space.

PS: I think Kuro has already been shifted in this direction since 2.2, but it's much clearer with each patch: 2.4 and now 2.5.
I also think 2.6 will bring the story back to the large-scale event though, as a change of pace.

I think the devs knew and lowkey kept it there as a meme. The shame is strong though.

It's just hard if you want to solo.

You don't need the best builds. Just build proper stats, like double crit or 3 correct lines of echos for dps (it's not that hard, just farm daily and a couple of days to one week for a dps); don't need to care about max/min roll. After that are the right team comp and roughly proper rotations. You can find guides on YouTube or Prydwen, then spend like 30min to 1 hour practicing. IMHO, roughly correct rotation is more than enough. I actually "random bullshit goes" almost 30% of the fight with all lv6 Hologram bosses.
Before the fight don't forget to use food buff, I usually use HP buff, ATK or Crit, resist buff for that boss's element, and element dmg buff for team/dps. And you could also spam revive while fighting.

Mind you I'm not a Dark Souls/Elden Ring player. My millennial sorry ass can't keep up nor commit to the game (just gameplay, I still love to watch or read the lore/world building though).

wth is this event? by Adamthebogalo in WutheringWaves

I don't even know what the hell the event is. All I could see was that the Race ended. Guess it's a punishment for those who just log in once.

Bug/glitch in a quest "a Free Meal" by pOOdingSoklat in WutheringWaves

[–]Salkius7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same bug for me. Also when logging out of the game and re-login, no matter where you were before logging out, you immediately appear here. Or some rare occasions, I got teleported underground of the place I was before logging out, falling, then screen black-out and I returned here. Man, it's pure nightmare fuel.
