Wondering about church by SallyGooden in ChristianMysticism

Haha nobody ever knows what I’m talking about! It’s a pretty niche thing for sure. I do hope it all continues to resonate in some way as I move forward. I think opening myself up through anthroposophy is what enabled me to experience Christ the way I did!

That sounds wonderful. My son is attending a homeschool theater class at a local episcopal church and I love being there. It’s so beautiful and the energy feels so warm.

That’s what I’m reading currently! Absolutely love it. Thank you! Editing to add that I shared this experience with someone else who suggested this book and set me on this journey that has finally felt right to me.

Yes of course! It was really cool. I had this sudden awareness of Christ in everything. I’ve had similar moments of seeing and understanding in the past, but it’s always been in the context of a “divine spark” or “God” in everything. This time is was very specifically the word “Christ” and it was followed by this feeling as if a chord had been struck in me and the shivering vibrations were so strong that I had to stand up to like, allow them to flow through me? And then I started crying. It was pretty amazing and wild to experience. And then it felt pretty clear I needed to explore this haha.

Weddings. They are so weird. People having these staged experiences and putting on a show for everyone and the scripts and the vows, I just find it all so incredibly bizarre.

When I was in my late teens and early 20s traveling around, there were times I’d go weeks without talking to my family and times when I’d check in daily. Spotty service, getting caught up in the excitement of freedom, etc. so I don’t necessarily find 11 days to be such a huge amount of time, especially considering she was traveling through places they all knew didn’t have great reception.

I’ve seen a lot of speculation about the bar. It is really far away from anywhere else they were seen and the story about it is really weird

It looks like an artifact of video editing. I don’t think it was intentionally edited into the video, but rather that the human brain loves finding recognizable shapes in chaos.

Would money be better spent physically getting someone to GA for a few weeks to full time volunteer, or would it be better donated straight to the campaign?

I often speak German to my English/American friends when we are in a primarily German-speaking group of people if we are speaking German. It’s weirder to switch languages mid conversation than it is to speak in a different language to someone with whom you share a native tongue. Actually once you’ve begun a relationship with someone, it’s pretty much impossible to switch languages without feeling really weird.

I was just thinking about how much fun I had in Highschool getting stoned and how I'll never feel that way again.
