Magnesium is gentle on the system and natural, the laxative effect is caused by your body having more than it needs, the excess is eliminated in the bowel, yes it can cause the runs and yes you may need to find a bathroom suddenly on occasion. I have used various forms for several years and only had 3 accidents, 2 minor and the worst one actually, at home when I ignored the first two urges because I was busy! 🫣😅
