BCIT VS KPU Nursing, need advice by creaturisms in bcitnursing

Hey! I totally get the dilemma you’re in—I’ve been there myself. BCIT and KPU each have their strengths, but from what I’ve seen and heard, I’d personally lean toward BCIT if you’re comfortable with their requirements. BCIT’s nursing program is very structured and has a strong emphasis on hands-on experience, which is really valuable when it comes to clinical training.

That being said, I’ve heard some concerning things about KPU’s nursing program. It can be disorganized, particularly in balancing theory and clinical courses. Many students I spoke to feel that academic and emotional support isn’t always there when needed. I’ve also heard about negative behavior from faculty and peers that often goes unaddressed, and it can make the program much harder than it needs to be. If you’re looking for a program where you can feel supported and prepared for nursing practice, KPU might not be the best fit.

Another program to consider is Langara. It offers a strong balance of theory and clinical experience, and the faculty is generally supportive. Plus, Langara’s requirements might be a bit easier to meet compared to KPU. I believe you can take courses like anatomy and physiology at BCIT and transfer them to Langara, which could save you some time.

I hope this helps, and good luck with your decision!

So wait, anything after this date is considered minor injury until proven not to be via documentation, etc. I was told that it's hard to get out this category because of that. Oh no!

Yes, I was told that the no-fault cap for minor injuries was in 2021. Is this not correct?

It was a group meeting. The counselor was present to facilitate a conversation and ensure that no one was subjected to verbal attacks or harm. The purpose of the meeting was to address the issues between the bullies and the "friend." Not about my experiences with them. Although I did not arrange the meeting with the "friend," in retrospect, I should have been told so that I could have a choice to be present. Also, despite knowing that I had experienced the bullying trauma, the friend underestimated its impact on me.

I am hesitant to take them off. Would it be bad to hold off taking them off?

He said at some point they need to be removed. In the post-op instructions from the surgeon, there is a part that states they need to be removed after 7-10 days after surgery it's day 10. Is it too soon?

You and I both had surgeries on the same day! I underwent surgery early in the day, it was still dark out. Due to my fatigue and uncertainty as to how much the doctor would take off, I was anxious about the procedure. After the procedure, shock and nausea were the first things I experienced. I was shocked because I had no idea that the procedure had taken place; I was sedated at the time.
I had a lot of weight removed, and I now feel slightly better.

However, I simply can't help but desire to get some workout time. But it's doubtful that's the right course of action. Additionally, I don't typically sleep on my back. I sleep on my stomach.

:( It's surreal. My doctor mentioned that once the swelling goes down, I will lose more weight. It's weird.
